My Chihuahua won't do any thing but nap and my cousin just bought 3 cases of dog food and doesn't own a dog.

When i used to buy pets and watch them die, we always fed them table scraps. Buying food for an animal that you aren't raising for meat is just retarded.

They are taking dogs and cats that have been "put down" and are rendering them for dog food

Yeah, our pets were happy and healthy on table scraps but you can't raise a herd of cattle on scraps.

According to the label:

It contains no artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, corn, wheat or soy.

It even contains coconut oil.

Seems healthy enough and something that I would be tempted to feed my dogs, except for the fact that it tested positive for pentobarbital.

Please pass this info on to your pet lover friends and even the stores that sell this product. We need to look out for each other.

i feed my dog frozen chicken and beef with some kibble and veg on the side and she is the healthiest dog around.

Proper nutrition will make them live a little longer, but you will ultimately watch it die anyway.

Sure, having a pet may be investing in a small tragedy. But, i have a tiny Chihuahua that i love in a way that I cannot explain. I have something to look forward to after work. Have some compassion!

Btw, I am also a farmer. I understand tthe logic of keeping farm animals only. As a 32-year-old woman with no children, this little dog gives me a lot of joy ok?

I feed her a bit of whatever I ate usually but I know her life span is shorter than mine. I just love her though

Dogs understand the world through their noses. So, scientists at Emory University conducted a neuroimaging study about odor processing in dogs’ brains. They trained dogs to stay very still so they could do an MRI of their brains while presenting them with smells, both strange and familiar.
What they found was that dogs’ reward centers lit up like fireworks on the 4th of July when presented with their owner’s familiar smell. It turns out that in the barrage of smells they are presented with on a daily basis, they filter out and prioritize their human’s smells above all.
