The show always made Archie look like the bad guy, like the bigot he was. In reality the Dems have been the racist ones through history. Before Archie Bunker the right side was not associated with racism... after it anything racist is always associated with right wing, at least in the liberal media.

I understand what you are saying OP. And that was the point of the show - to ridicule 'old school' guys and make liberals look like the ones who are superior, smarter and have higher morals.
