He still has a church there now, a very nice and pleasant man. Anyone encountering him would come away with the impression that God loved them and was Someone you might want to know better.

I am NOT a Christian, at least not in the traditional sense, but if once can be arrested for speaking on a public sidewalk, then clearly this is a violation of the 1st Amendment. I hope the case goes all the way to the Supreme Court and these disorderly conduct laws are revised.

Yea... I have to agree. Although I fully believe the gospel, this is a threat driven ministry. When you combat someone they tend to fight back. Show me one single instance where Jesus ever threatened someone into salvation. He healed them and loved then and sat to break bread. In my opinion this type of ministry is a stumbling block. The church has spent far too long standing in the distance and screaming that everyone else is wrong. Win them with the love and mercy that has been afforded to you. You know what would be revolutionary? A ministry where believers were safe rides home. Let them know you are a believer and leave it at that unless they progress that conversation. That is a seed that will take root.
