Russia already expelled US diplomats from their nation before any poisoning of those in UK took place.

Is it too hard a thing to have Russian diplomats expelled from another nation they are angry or agitated with?

Seems to me that if Russia thought we are poisoning their people, they would want their people safely back home in Russia?
Or would that make too much sense?

So why so serious about something so much safer if there is so much risks even on a lethal level?

It is a sad state of affairs. And one that is difficult to overcome. Because if you let nations hunt down and kill people within your nation without taking responsive measures, then what good is having a government to protect the people?

So if Russia poisons an American spy here in the US we should just let it go because we want to avoid war? No. You do what the UK did, you expel that nation from dealing politically with you and ignore their existence. It is not the start of a war to do so, you are just kicking them out of your country. If they choose to be all butt hurt and start a war over it, well, how are you accountable for that?

Of course, the UK has a problem. They import a shit ton of fuel, mostly natural gas from Russia. The Russians can hurt them economically at this point.

Will this end in war? Possibly. It almost did many times during the cold war. Will it end in nuclear war, I think it unlikely. The russians and chinese are still vastly atheist. Psychologically they believe this life is all they have and nothing else. They dont want to die in a huge ball of fire and radiation. It is one thing to send soldiers you dont know or care about to die in a war front somewhere, but an entirely different story when you can be nuked many times over no matter where you go to hide underground.

Moreover, who wants to survive a nuclear war and lose their way of life afterwards? No more good stuff.. life becomes hard as fuck and you will just die from cancer within a few years anyways.

So why not get the gas from somewhere else it is not like it would be worth such a war over must haves of Russia's gas.
