Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75993876 So I’m 34 and was born in Fort Worth, Moved to Austin for college, graduated and moved LA (Hated it), moved back to Austin and met my wife, moved up to Dallas a couple of years later and I liked it here at first but it’s getting extremely crowded and my love of Dallas is fading. I’ve been to Colorado dozens of times and my wife and I love it. I just don’t know what to expect job wise and housing wise up there. man get on linked in, pay $30 for someone to upgrade your resume, and get interviews set up. I would move as soon as i could if i lived in dallas lol |

Plus it was voted the #2 City to live in recently, Denver #3. [link to kdvr.com] Housing cheaper in the springs. A lot of people have been selling their homes in Denver and buying in the springs or monument and commuting into to denver for work. There are plenty of jobs in the springs though depending on your field. Last Edited by GrumpyGato on 04/19/2018 10:26 AM **You live your life not for yourself, but for the sake of others** |

Denver is overrated, overrpriced, cool place to visit though occasionally, but not to live. Also it's liberal paradise. |

Please if you come to Colorado don’t stop up traffic like the rest of the Texans do. We drive faster and live More freely. We can pic the Texas drivers out in seconds, so keep in mind our streets are curved not straight,, our heads are all kinds shapes not just flat. We don’t give law enforcement much respect and it makes law enforcement treat us more human. But Colorado Springs is better then denver, easy to get around. |

Don’t bring your trash , we are a very clean state compared to Texas. The cheapest rec ounce I've found in southern colorado is currently 120 bucks out the door with taxes and everything. That's like 15-20% thc btw 2 dollars a gram at today’s health. Why in gods name would anyone go to a rec store. That’s for tourist. Pay 60 buck s and get a card. I can still buy guns and everything. Colorado is refusing to go along with federal law saying med card holder s can’t have guns. Every gun store tells you not to fill that part out at all. |

However, the housing market has gone insane lately, so do not move without a job lined up. Then, i recommend living in the smallest, cheapest rental you can find while you save up money ... and wait for the housing bubble to pop again. the 'value' of my house has doubled in the past 5-6 years, but I can't sell because where would I move to? Texas? |

Way cheaper to live there than Denver too. Longmont is north of Denver, essentially still Denver imo, except it is in both WELD and BOULDER counties. If you can score a house in WELD county, that will be better considering the liberal boulder county policies. Its expensive as fuck here in the Denver area comparitively, but there's plenty of work. All these people who tell you they just can't find work here are straight lieing. The people here are ok, but they'll make you miss rednecks. The men here are soft and the women here are flakes. However it is pretty. I'm moving to the west face in a few months.
