At least we still have our memories of how it used to be.

People were still mean as fuck back then.
But what has deteriorated is our social constructs.
The people in the video weren't jaded by modern media, and everyone acted out for a camera back then.
The meanness and lack of class of the inner cities has flooded into the suburbs and rural areas of modern times. Blame media and entertainment for that - being trashy is "cool".

I dropped my purse in a shopping mall some months back. Drove off, discovered it missing at the next shop I went to, drove back to the shopping centre (mall) and someone had handed it in. I had over €300 in cash - not a cent missing.

There has always been shit heads throughout time. But yeah you're right its the constructs of how we interact with each other now is completely different. Completely lost! I doubt we will ever get to be like that again as a society. People are just too closed off from each other now especially due to the effects of social media and teLIEvision and its propaganda of driving wedges amongst people to create divides.

GOD created the world to be good. Even very good.

But Jesus tells us that only GOD is good.

We misuse this word. Everything was created to be good as GOD is good, but it turned to crap because right away human beings didn't do their responsibility as stewards of the Earth. That means to have authority and care over these creatures and the Earth itself through dominion. I believe it is the sole time that word is used.

Jesus tries to restore the concept in Matthew 25, at least with suffering people.

These things are why we are here. They are central Christian tenets.

What you call nice is really about dominion and atruism.

Dominion over everything.

So Christians have a huge responsibility to be "nice" ie to care for the Earth and all living things AND all people especially the suffering.
