How do you solve a problem?
User ID: 76859472 United Kingdom 09/03/2018 04:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It is the best of many choices . Particularly if you are the male ... The ancient celts were tribal and the sisters children inherited the land ,because people slept with who they felt for in the tribe at that moment . That is not a good look for a patriotic society . This is before Christianity . Kings were chosen ,for war or peace ,depending on the conditions at the time If they failed they were killed .... today voted out ... If land becomes important rather than tribe then the father wants his children to inherit rather than someone from the tribe ... ..and so women were committed to a husband ..maybe not from their choice but in a sort of business deal... It is called marriage . |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70663772 United States 09/03/2018 05:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The term 'marriage' is derived from 'marry' + '-age' -age, as we all should know, is simply a suffix to denote the noun form of a verb. So, marriage is the noun form of 'to marry' - and what does that mean... It's derived from the masculine word meaning, 'I impregnate'. The terms husband/wife and father/mother refer to the exact same entities, and it used to be that one was not proclaimed to be a husband or a wife until one produced offspring - the difference is from the perspective. The former pair of husband/wife are used when referring to one another. The latter pair are used when being referred to by the offspring of the pair. Replace every iteration of marriage in the Bible with 'sexual intercourse' and it will all start to make better sense. Everything we think of nowadays in terms of rings, vows, social status, and tax filing mechanisms ado with marriage are the controllers' ways of putting a monkey on the back of our most sacred relation with others, which is to mate. To take what is most sacred and place material and social constraints, expectations, and reasonings upon it is how you corrupt the spirit of mankind for eternity. All religions are culpable, with no exceptions if you ask me. |

Worked like a charm. Here's a marriage and family that worked out till some decided to destroy it. The sister ‘s children inherited ... It was the closed genetic link ... The Romans had the father thing ... You cannot tell who the father is without genetic testing ..... The Celts knew this ..that you could not identify the father ..they were not bothered .it seems Marriage is to ensure the father knows who his children are in a settled society ,provided the mother plays the game . Women were sort of traded and seem to be traded in the higher levels of our society by the men . When marriage works it is good .sadly it does not work for everyone . I was married for 45 years ...I am not against it ..provided it is a mutual choice . I loved him ...and miss him a lot .... In England we have been reverting because the state has been replacing the father as a provider ....as the tribe used to be.... But then there was less population and little communities...whereas now it is more isolated and there is little tribal support ...just social security .... When marriage works it is the best ....solution ... |
