Christmas Give Away for those in need.

This year I am giving to this organization which I heard about on the radio the past couple weeks.

$30 heals one leprous child. $30!! to restore a human life.

52 children are diagnosed as lepers each day. To this day in many areas of the world, lepers are isolated from family and friends and must live among each other and stay away from all who are not lepers, even young children are stripped away from their family.

All it takes to stop that is $30 per person.

It is a bacterial infection that needs a cocktail of 3 drugs to cure it.

As I understand it, the pharmaceutical company donates the drugs, and the $30 is for transporting the drugs to the out of the way places that need them.

There are over 100 people in the us diagnosed as leprous each year, but we have access to medicines. Other locations have a harder time receiving treatment and this charity gets the medicine to them and helps to rehabilitate those who have been physically damaged by the disease.

The $30 will heal them, many also need restorative services and physical therapy as their nerves have been badly damaged, but $30 stops the disease and lets them once again live with family. Can you imagine being stripped away from everyone you love all for want of $30?

So that's my suggestion for a worthy cause.

You know my friend. I didn't do much. YOU did the biggest part, by not losing faith and never giving up. And in the end your skills and determination brought you where you are now and I am very blessed to be able to experience that.

In giving there is always a win-win situation. It is not about the giving, but the thought that people pick up on it, find courage and belief in themselves. And through that we can concur almost everything.

I hear what you and sacred energy say, but you know, who are others to judge? Of course I understand that it feels bad to sometimes have to reach out, but you did not ask for the situation that you are in, did you?

Sometimes life just happens and that sucks. Why would anyone make that even worse by not reacting to your call for help? There is nothing embarrassing to it. Many of us have been in that same situation, I am one of them. Sometimes we wait so long to reach out that the situation only gets worse and then, when we do and find help, whether that be money, words, a gesture or just someone lending you their shoulder for a bit, we ask ourselves why we haven't done that sooner..

So just be who you are and be not afraid to reach out. You will see there are many there that are there for you as well.

So true. I remember, coming from a family of 6 kids, that in my child years, we had this toy store in our village and with Sinterklaas (Dutch kids holiday) we always got presents from the owners for all of us. As a kid you do not know where they came from but later, when we grew up, that thought has never left me. There is so much good in us, despite what others might want us to believe. Never give up believing in that.

My kids actually asked for clothes this year. I have tried to raise them to not be greedy.
Even my little ones. It can be rough, but blessings and just being together make it easier.
