Re: Christmas Give Away for those in need.
Last year we had a Christmas Giveaway Thread here, started by St3v3 and followed by others like Javierruiz, Zalinsky, Cosmicgypsy, Truthserum and forgive me if I missed anyone else, who made Christmas a little better for those in need through this thread:

Thread: $250 Dollar Amazon Gift Card For Someone in Need for Christmas.

I would like to follow up on that tradition this year and have saved up $500 throughout the year to give to those who can use it most.

Our society is getting tougher, colder, more individual. No doubt about that. More and more people struggle to put food on the table, not only at Christmas, but day after day. Let alone them being able to buy their kids and loved ones the tiniest gift for their birthday or with holidays like these. On the other hand we have entered an era, where a lot of people rather focus on their smart phone than to keep an open eye for those in need.

I do not believe in a religious kind of way, but I do believe in people and in good outdoing the bad. To those that struggle, I want to say: "Do not give up! In our weakest moments we find strength and belief, in ourselves and those around us. Don't be afraid to reach out. Trust me, I've been there myself and it is only through strength, belief and reaching out that I am now able to pay if forward. If I can do it, you can do it too. You are beautiful, you are strong, you are no quitter."

Of course, there will be voices that say that this gesture will be abused, that people should crawl out the hole that they dug, that everyone makes their own bed. To you I want to say that your words have no place or meaning here. This is a thread about giving and caring, not about doubt or blame.

And to those that want to give, but are not able to do that financially. Know that the power of giving is not financial driven. It is driven by the heart. Lending someone an ear, show encouragement through words or giving a heartfelt hug or a tap on the shoulder, already can work miracles and be the trigger to give people that boost of confidence they need. If together we can do that within the circle of our own influence, we already made our world a bit warmer. And give hope that it will spread like an ink spot.

Okay, enough talk. Sorry, the curse of writing. tomato

I would like to spread the amount to as many people as possible. Through PayPal preferably. But I also have an Amazon premium membership, so if you for example create a wish list there with some presents for your kids or loved ones, that would work too. Try to keep it at a maximum of €50.

Anyway, feel free to post here, send me a pm or email me at [email protected] with your paypal or wish list and I will see what I can do in the coming few days. I can't be around 24/7, because of work, but I will make sure you will get it in time.

Merry Christmas to everyone. You are all beautiful. hf

OP, I could seriously make a case for why I could use this money. But honestly, there is always someone in more need.
I just pray 2019 is atleast a little bit kinder than 2018 has been.

God Bless you OP!

I still have a little left to give this year. Not much, but at least a little. So feel free to email me at [email protected] or pm your paypal. hf

Re: Christmas Give Away for those in need.
A toy for my 6 1/2 year old daughter would be cool.
Or some help with cat food or rabbit food, lol.
My email address is in my profile and it's my paypal email.

We lost our second vehicle last month, so on top of my usual 2 hours a day commute in the car, I have added another 3 hours a day in the car to drive the hubby to and from work, etc.

I put over 30,000 miles a year on my car, which has almost 300,000 miles on it. I am in desperate need of a rear alignment. I can't really go over 65mph at the moment since the car shakes too much. I've needed this alignment for nearly a year now, and I go through used tires every 6 months or so.

It's also been having a slow anti-freeze leak for the past 6 months, and recently it has gotten worse and we dump a bunch of coolant in it now, and by the end of the day it's (my dashboard computer) telling me I need more coolant. We just haven't had enough money to get it fixed yet.

We definitely don't have enough money for much food. Barely enough to scrape by. I think the next time I have a day off next weekend, I'm going to make my chicken noodle soup recipe which feeds us for almost a whole week for $15

I have a friend who's cat had 2 litters in a row (I encouraged her to get her cat spayed and gave her some resources and luckily she got it spayed this past month, lol) so I ended up adopting 3 cats a few months ago, now I have a total of 4. And I"m going through kitty litter and cat food like crazy. I didn't want this many cats, but now i have them.

i'm sure there are other people out there that need more help than me, but maybe a little help over here? I have an Amazon prime account, and I also have a Chewy account (for pet food delivery).

Also for you, probably the last I am able to help this year. Email me at [email protected] with your paypal or make an amazon wish list and send that to me and I will see wht I can do BP. hf

I do not want to leave a long huge poor me post. My husband had his hours cut so I picked up some hours at work.
I just sold my car to help with Bills but have been left with no money. We have four kids and have not been able to buy one gift.

That's it. We just are as broke as ever at Christmas.

I will leave this paypal.me/JamieGee77

Re: Christmas Give Away for those in need.
I recently got custody of 2 children who's mother disappeared about 10 years ago with them. They were molested and lived in a small trailer with 6 adults. They came to me with no clothes and my daughter would only eat food from a can because she was so accustomed to it.

I had to quit my career to take care of them. Needless to say things are very tight financially and I would love to get them a few nice gifts and dinner since they never have had a Christmas before.

Thank you and godbless.

You are truly a beautiful soul for offering help to those in need. I read here nightly. Don't often have the time to post as most if not all of my time is taken up by working/trying to make ends meet somehow and taking care of my one year old daughter. Her dad and I do the best we can, but bills and prices of everything seem to increase each year. The angels on this board helped me immensely last year, and I could sure use another miracle. Literally anything would help, and go towards trying to give my daughter a good Christmas and Christmas dinner. I won't leave too long of a story, but my PayPal is [email protected]. Blessings and love to everyone.

Re: Christmas Give Away for those in need.
This post brought tears to my eyes. This is a very kind gesture from you.
I don't usually ask for charity. It's is a hard thing for me to do. My family and I have had an incredibly hard few years, actually a hard life, like so many others. I was in a serious accident a little over two years ago. I was hit very hard in the head and face. I had a head injury, neck injury, broken jaw, and 5 broken front teeth. I had surgery on one of the teeth, top front. Had to have it surgically removed along with part of my jaw bone because that tooth had a mercury post in it that had been screwed into my jaw 37 years before. The surgery was an emergency and wasn't done properly, so a consequence of it was severe mercury poisoning, then kidneys and liver failure. I still have 4 broken teeth. I am still dealing with the liver and kidney issues as well. The insurance company only paid for a minimal amount, so I had to stop going to the dentists and doctors after 7 months and I just try to deal with all the issues and pain. I lost my work through all this. I work as much as I can now, but it has been hard to find work, being visibly hurt. Most don't want to hire me. My 2 children have been amazing to me, but it is hard for them, too. My oldest started a gofundme, secretly for me 13 months ago, so I could continue medical treatment, but it only generated $450, which went to rent. Two of the places I work at let me go last week, so it has become even more stressful here. I am an artist and was able to sell an original in April, so that helped for about 2 months. If you or anyone else could help that would be amazing. If not I understand. If you would like to donate to me and my family, we are trying to come up with rent money for January, not Christmas gifts, because having a roof over our heads is more important to us right now, then it's [email protected]. Thank you for reading through this long text. May the Creator bless you for your kindness.

Re: Christmas Give Away for those in need.
How sweet of you OP! I am in the unfortunate need of literally ANYthing. My daughter and I BOTH have MS and not a dime between us to do anything for Christmas. Thankfully, my oldest daughter (out of the 2 girls) gave me 2 beautiful grandchildren, but she knows we can't do anything this year at ALL.

I just got put on new MS medicine-NO MORE NEEDLES!!! :) 2 pills a day! We are now on the same medicine Tecfidera. By the second day I was walking better! My birthday of Dec. 11th was celebrating that fact. My daughter's birthday is Dec 29th (an 11-I got to pick her birthday (any date in the last week of Dec. was ok-so, I picked the 29th :) And yeah-out of two girls my youngest is My Mini-we never thought that she'd end up getting the same brain disease that I have, sigh. But I truly hope everybody has a wonderful Christmas and thank you for doing this. <3

[email protected] for PayPal, just in case I get blessed in any way. Lol. I logged in to PayPal for the first time in AGES. (Im the "11" girl <or lol sorry, the "11" woman I should say). I had $1.11 in there. Even tho it's been a few yrs-I am still surrounded by 11's ;) I just had my 47th birthday (11), on Dec 11th, in an 11 year (2018=11) as I sit in my apt.# 111. Lol, with my mini me daughter also w/MS, born on Dec 29th. ;)

We're going over to the food bank on Thurs (as yes, we also have very little food Oh yeah-when it rains, it pours lol)-but we are the weirdo family, that when it rains-we literally go outside and proclaim with a huge smile "What a GREAT day it is! Lol-ya. The "sun" really bothers my MS, plus I've ALWAYS loved thunderstorms :) But they are VERY kind over there at the foid bank, so at least Christmas dinner will be do-able!

My sister who was literally born ON Christmas day and my grandson turns 7 on Dec. 31st round out the gettin smacked in Dec, BIGTIME lol. Sigh lol, but I always say, ESP after I was diagnosed (having JUST lost my 5 year, $50K/yr job 30 mins before I went to the appt to get my diagnosis). I always say, no matter how rich/poor, healthy/sick-NO ONE is guaranteed a tomorrow. No one. So enjoy each day as if it were your last and ALWAYS keep love in your heart.

PS-I am also cursed with the writing disease lol-as the daughter of a writer (RIP Dad-I WILL be getting that book done one day :), I promise).

Re: Christmas Give Away for those in need.
If I count I guess I have helped about 25 people and I wished I could do so much more. I am glad to been able to help and contribute a little bit though to making Christmas at least a little bit more special for anyone I could.

For this year, I am sorry to say that my gift cart is empty. But I promise that next year I will return with this and continue the tradition.

You know, all those beautiful reactions, the emails and words on here are very heart warming and it gives me even more belief that there is so much beauty in this world. If we only open our eyes and ears for what is going on around us.

Like I said, giving is not about money. Yes, it helps and is very rewarding when you see what a difference it makes in people's lifes and hearts. But you know, words, gestures, hugs and showing love is maybe even more rewarding and encouraging.

We should all make a promise that from today onward, we make that phone call, give that tap on the shoulder, tell someone that you love them out of the blue and that you are there for them, not only at Christmas, but whenever they need a voice or an ear. THAT really makes a difference and can give just that push that is needed to boost someone's confidence and belief in themselves and others.

You are truly all beautiful and through that we all grow.

Merry Christmas everyone! Love to all. hf

Re: Christmas Give Away for those in need.

And my email [email protected]
