Nothing takes such bad videos today so I have to assumed they intentionally made it that way to hide something. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77345463 . It was taken with a FLIR camera from about a half a mile away. It is typical video from US Military aircraft cameras. Oh ya that 20 plus thousand dollar camera that you cant see shit from...ok. any general that watched this video would scream what the hell, i can see shit on this thing. Besides, i have used rifle scopes that could see pretty damn far and pretty good picture AT NIGHT. It's a half mile away, it's flying, it's at max zoom, and the video is cropped so that all the information displayed on the video scene cannot be seen. FLIR cameras are notorious for their bad quality because they are better at NIGHT, where they see heat signatures. And the Camera is at least 25 years old. |

The cargo vessel was not hit by a mine. Japan is denying that it was because the explosion happened above the water line and their people on the vessel reported seeing flying objects before the explosion, possibly bullets. |

You don’t understand war. Iran is a trap... they want us to attack and are trying to provoke us. This is about East vs West. Shits getting real. The west is desperate to start a war. Here in Iran probably everyone is laughing at this, the ones who had little trust towards the US government have lost that as a result of this. Disgusting! I was the first one to say it was a limpet mine that caused the damage to these ships while everyone else was screaming that they were attacked by torpedoes or RPG's. I knew because I have studied what the Iranians have done over the last 40 years since the Islamic revolution... Their military is capable of pulling off this sort of attack and they train terrorists to do these things as well and have had terrorist training camps in their country since the revolution. By the way, in none of my posts on this incident have I once said that the US should go to war with Iran or do anything about what they did to these vessels. My only goal here is to accurately determine what happened and who did it, if it is the Iranians I already know the why they did it, they have been saying for years that the Straights of Hormuz belong to them and all shipping through it must pay them for the right to traverse the area based upon the tonnage of cargo on board. In short extortion on the high seas, Iran is not a signatory of any international agreements concerning the law of the seas, or the Geneva conventions, so they can pretty much do whatever they want to stop shipping in "their" waters. The Arab nations on the other side of Persian gulf see Iran as a viable threat to their exports of oil. Now it is up to you to prove everything I have said is wrong... |

A drone, hundreds of miles out in the ocean, at night, is supposed to take crystal clear videos from far enough away that the people being spied on can't hear the drone. You're not being realistic at all in your expectations. The fact is the Iranians got caught red handed. They're guilty as sin. The only reason they knew that mine was there was because they put it there. The only way they could take it off the vessel THAT FAST is because they are the ones with the key needed to immediately disarm the mine. Iran did it. They're caught. It's time for the USA and other countries to bomb the shit out of Revolutionary Guard naval bases to let Iran see what happens when they attack unarmed merchant vessels. |

Evacuation? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77631086 Except that it was a boat load of Iranian revolutionary guards sent to recover the mine by force if necessary before the US Navy did. In all honesty We will find one on other ships in the region, my best guess is that they are already looking for them. |
