When I was in we had a colonel who was a full time student trying to get his doctorate in psychology and decided to use us for his thesis. The amount of govt sponsored garbage and contracted classes and testing we were forced to endure so that criminal(typical officer) could get his doctorate was horrendous. What a piece of trash he was. I hope his entire bloodline dies of filth .

What does Simmons have to do with low carb and lowering insulin?

Keto..... when people are on a Keto diet, the brain, is in a similar state to a manic episode.

The brain produces a chemical thats similar to GHB, BHG, its the same chemical.

Mania, leads to an eventual collapse and distorted perceptions eventually... Which is typical of Bi-Polar.

Other risk factors are a fatty liver and kidney problems.

Re: US Navy Seals are Now Doing Keto Research and Training
Nice post, but wanted to ask about the first comment "the best keto allows unlimited vegetables."

As someone who has thrice done Keto for specific short-term goals (ex: cutting sugar, lowering body fat) all vegetables aren't approved for keto. For example 1 cup of cubed sweet potato has 27 grams of carbs, but only 4 grams of fiber. Thus, the net carbs in that amount are 23, which is pushing you close to the recommended max of 30g total net carbs per day that conventional recommendations for keto macros suggest.

I stick to broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and others that are high in fiber and result in low net carbs.

I need to check out the Dr. Berg recommendations. You've got some good info and makes me interested to check it out, just don't agree with the unlimited vegetables part.

The best Keto allows unlimited vegetables, while still enjoying fast weight loss, because your liver requires 7-10 cups of vegetables a day to repair itself and renew its cells AND you need large amounts of potassium in your diet.

The best Keto works on healing issues in your body, such as gallbladder deficiencies, cortisol management, adrenal repairs, and putting yourself back in shape.

The diet I'm on for life and for health is Dr. Berg's version, with my own tweaks. ie Lots of fruit occasionally. Occasional small amounts of honey or maple syrup in the feeding window so the insulin is contained.

And for other odd high strangeness in people who follow diet guru's with strict ideas, who ruin their health, ie not having enough vegetables, is that there are other elements that are silly.

For ex. if you are extremely sensitive to carbs, then honey and maple syrup may be out of the question for you.

But raw organic honey and maple syrup have numerous health benefits and can be used by those who won't give them up, like me, in small amounts, INSIDE YOUR EATING WINDOW.

Bread. I can't stand too much almond flour. However, mixing it with arrowroot starch reduces the richness of it.

But when you're making real bread, say a combination of almond and a small amount of coconut and arrow root, with psillium husks, you're putting together a decent textured bread, almost like the real thing, not like the cardboard crapola in the stores.

But you can put a 2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup and your yeast package, because the yeast is fed by the sugar AND NO SUGAR REMAINS IN THE FINISHED PRODUCT.

So people following fads, instead of incorporating healthy diet plans, are not being scientific, and endangering their health.

Done right, most of the population should be on Keto.

And I incorporate fruit in season! Because it doesn't harm my health, or stop my weight loss.

Fructose in studies is often GMO corn syrup, not natural sugars in organic fruit, and there is a difference.

However for the more pure of heart, when you start to get too thin, you can have your small tweaks, some fruit, rice once a month, preferably wild, some better tasting pasta maybe once a month, and/or just add a couple hours to your intermittent fasting and have 1 more meal.

However you're eating for nutrients, once keto adapted you're not very hungry.

Why do you people fuck your bodies yo with that keto and other nonsense.

Listen to your body. Eat what your body asks for. Exercise regularly, listen to your body during exercise as well.

Be a small kid again. Move, enjoy life, play around and be slim. Eat only when hungry.

Not the potato/rice/wheat stuff.

And not even organic corn until you achieve health and/or weight goals.

Eventually, you're going to hack your own lifelong Keto that includes some of what you like, some of the time.

Mine will be this: lots of fruit. Especially cherries, mangoes, apples, oranges. Not sours.

My only forbidden sweet is already hard to find, they make crappy cake donuts now. I love old fashioned yeast glazed donuts like 40 years ago, so rarely had one before Keto. Love. will have a 3 or 4 a year one day, may have to make as they're hard to find, but don't find them hard to put off for a while either. Not addicted to them. I can easily cook for others except for health issues and mobility issues, and have zero issues or tempations, because I only "like" the foods, not addicted exactly. I like some foods more than others, cherries for example, spaghetti, the occasional donut.

Some of these you can hack a keto version, but don't really like Keto pasta too much.

Red skinned potatoes. We grow the best in our garden. If they affect my health, then can cut them out. But would prefer a few potatoes in my life, even if its once every 6 weeks or so, so eventually will try that. But currently, I don't eat them at all. And have zero temptations to do so.

Sushi, and this idea of cauliflower rice, lol. Nope. So, will make sushi without the rice, just the wrap, but will once a month use wild rice.

But this is my favorite: I miss Spaghetti, and make the best, like lots of sauce, no one makes my sphaghetti. Like Durum sphagettini noodles, not al dente, nicely cooked.

And will be having that once a month come fall. Have never gained weight from it, unlike Chinese Smorg, that is now gone except for Keto home cooked versions, always keeps me regular and when ill, tomatoes are my to go to food, and spaghetti.

Now on the Keto: my veggies are: greens, cruciferous, bitters, herbs, radishes, tomatoes, green onions, onions, fermented foods, not corn and not potatoes. But I include squash only less frequently, more like every 2 weeks, but not yet, maybe in the fall. I can put things off easily, just tell myself, not yet.

And I'm pretty much in ketosis most of the time, don't have much an appetite now, lots more energy and mental energy.

Aside from often fast weight loss with better toning in skin afterwards, and aside from health benefits as long as its not done in a fad way, but as a lifetime change, it is very effective for seizures reduction, such as epilepsy, or under water diving, and for longer ability to hold breath, due to waste reduction such as C02.

There is alot that can be said about Keto, as the human body has 2 very effective ways to burn energy.

Long distance runners often also do Keto, because it gives endurance.

Glucose burning is short bursts of energy. Some people can use carbs better.

But anyone with weight issues, has pre diabetes, insulin resistance and would benefit for HEALTH not just weight loss, by adapting a better diet.

Most people are very sensitive to carbs: potatoes, rice, breads of all kinds.

Not to fat. In fact you don't count calories at all on keto.

And initially switching over, you would incorporate fat bombs, small fatty low carb/zero carb snacks to ensure you can make it to your meal.

Over time, as your body becomes Keto adapted, your hunger goes away, because you're constantly running on your fat.

On veggies, which have their own carbs, but you must not count them at all, as they don't affect any of the benefits of keto.

And are crucial to your health.

Whatever your issue is, this is about Health, and that Keto is taken seriously by officials no matter what propaganda is put out to try and keep people carb addicted and unhealthy, because that state keeps everyone sick, dying, and unable to see what the world mismanagers are up to, AND makes them tons of money.

Its keeping us under their thumbs perpetually.

Hence the topic was chosen with care to emphasize that they who keep us sick, for profit and power, are using keto themselves.

Re: US Navy Seals are Now Doing Keto Research and Training
I want to share something about arthritis and back/disk/joint pain.

It's auto immune, oft times from an injury, although there is also some evidence he mentions of some kind of bacteria or germ from your mouth, that is in the joints which would be treated as a foreign body and cause the immune system to attack. And start to destroy your joints or back even.

So natural antibiotics such as oil of Thyme or oregano or garlic, or myrrh are recommended, in fact, your body gets used to 1 thing, and it stops working. So, I find, its best to sail into a thing for a week and then switch, and even go off for a few days inbetween.

I usually take 3 grams of curcumin, but not every day. I like to take it for 3 or 4 days, and then go off for a few. Black pepper extract circulates things through your body that normally would be eliminated swiftly. So that is taken with the bioperine.

But it just so happened my son had purchased the denatured collagen when I watched his video on chicken soup and after Keto, was in high levels of back/hip pain, usually have chronic pain, that is a higher level than most, and couldn't even load the dishwasher easily, took lots of rests inbetween rinsing batches off.

The denatured collagen needs a window of time without anything else in your stomach, which is why IF is great, or just before bed, with no snacks for hours, ie IF and Keto.

And my acute pain, it had gone from chronic to acute, vanished overnight. It's gone to low chronic but allowed me to start to water our property which I haven't been able to do for 4 years, and assist more, taking the load of my son who has a job and usually does too much. Don't think I'll be mowing the lawn anytime soon however.

But getting my health back is my number one goal. Oh and stopping the pole shift with positive thoughts. That too!

The collagen is not cooked, and its from organic chicken and resembles ours and it acts as a decoy.

The antibodies are drained out of your joint into the stomach to attack the chicken collagen and then your joint begins to heal.

So taking a natural antibiotic helps as well, a few hours later.

But this effect lasts all day.

It's the most expensive collagen at our health food store, a little cheaper online on amazon. My son had bought a 2 bottle amount.

And for those who hate amazon, various health places, haven't checked iherb yet, but will be. Because they're almost gone.

Also want some of oil of thyme to supplement my oil of oregano.

Interesting post, thanks!

I don't know why but I find that I can still lose weight when incorporating rice or sorghum if it is mixed with lots of turmeric. Also I can juice a pound of carrots and still lose weight. But empty carbs will prevent me from losing any weight. My body must metabolize carbs differently when they have such strong nutrients attached i.e. turmeric and carrot.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75936317

I can do fruit in season. Such as cherries particularly, but cherries almost like berries, quite low carb. But not in the 2 big heaping bowls I eat.

With no repercussions. I grew up in our Cherry orchard eating more than went in the bucket.

But also they've done studies on apple cider vinegar. A teaspoon or a tablespoon on a piece of wheat bread that has a higher glycemic index than white sugar, can neutralize much of the insulin spike.

So for those occasional cheats, its good to include organic lemon juice and high quality apple cider vinegar.
 Quoting: Sungaze_At_Dawn

Great post. I am in the process of going back to Keto. But since carbs are extremely limited I'm confused how you can eat lots of fruit. My body doesn't utilize fruits well and usually spikes my insulin. What other fruits besides cherries are low carb? I eat primarily limited amounts of blue berries and strawberries and occasionally apples.

It's really important to look after your health. So if fruit isn't your thing don't do it, as its considered a cheat on Keto.

For me, could live on fruit almost, a little protein, but then could do it. So I'd rather the sun supernova'd than cherries were gone.

And as an experiment had ample amounts of them, no weight gain, no pain. If you ever put into your diet an occasional cheat, something you like that isn't junk food, ensure you are fully keto adapted, and test your body. Even before stepping on the scales, the first thing would be, does it make you hurt, joints, low energy, pre diabetic symptoms, etc.

In my case, cherries are very seasonal, they last a month out of the year, and they're expensive. So its not every day. But we have 2 Young Cherry Trees in our back yard so the expense will be gone in about 5 years.

But when I'm doing really well I will be adding my other fruits back as well.

And I'll be testing, first health and then the scales.

We're all a little different that way.

And no, this is called hacking your Keto.

Its not recommended, I am showing that I am staying in ketosis, continuing all benefits with my hack to try and share that the strict concept may not be perfect for everyone.

But first spending the 6 weeks or more getting into Ketosis adapted is recommended.

And it depends on what you are adding back. There is a difference between occasional or seasonal fruit, and occasional binges on french fries and gravy, or chinese smorg, or pop and chips. I'm talking healthy cheats that you need for your system or quality of life even, and that you have the self discipline to note what works with staying in ketosis and your health and what doesn't.

Re: US Navy Seals are Now Doing Keto Research and Training
One of the best videos I've watched on fasting and keto.

Also, consider the snake juice recipe for doing longer fasts. It stops most of the hunger and gives you plenty of energy to work out. I went 5 days fasting with the snake juice just fine where before fasting a single day was torture for me.

I drink one of these a day when fasting, don't really bother on intermittent fasts though:
Water=2L
Potassium chloride =1 tsp (No-Salt or Nu-Salt) (don't go over tsp a day)
Sodium Bicarbonate = 1 tsp (Baking Soda)
Magnesium Sulphate = 1/2 tsp (Food Grade Epsom Salts)
Sodium chloride = 1/2 tsp (Himalayan Pink Salt)

When I was in we had a colonel who was a full time student trying to get his doctorate in psychology and decided to use us for his thesis. The amount of govt sponsored garbage and contracted classes and testing we were forced to endure so that criminal(typical officer) could get his doctorate was horrendous. What a piece of trash he was. I hope his entire bloodline dies of filth .

Not sure how these posts relate to this thread topic which is to counter negative thread done yesterday and then promote health.

Of course the thought of big pharma and globalists losing power and money through people's health must be extremely disgusting to them.

People aren't as stupid as they thought, eh?

I find it wonderful. Eat as much as you want and need, and a huge variety of foods minus junk food, ordinary bread and potatoes, primarily.

And there are keto hacks for ice cream, breads, pizza's, and no way will I be partaking in cauliflower mozzo crusts, not me. I will do a nice almond flour blend with arrowroot starch, probably half and half, which is low carb unlike tapioca flour, and psyllium husks and actually make myself some yeast flour with 1 teaspoon of honey and make real pizza crust that tastes good and is still low carb.

So, compared to diet plans that eat like rabbits, or tiny portions and then their thyroids call an emergency and slow down their metabolisms, KETO IS NATURAL GOOD FOOD.

So, disgusting? Are you human?

Or do you think if you're not living on junk food 24/7 and experiencing insulin spikes, you're not having a good quality of life?

I'm really curious and would like an explanation as to what you find troubling at most people regaining their health and waist lines.

I don't drink, so this wasn't hard. Those with pre diabetic situation happening, some weight gain, etc, probably should not be drinking alcohol either, except some naturally fermented, low alcohol wine from time to time. I can pass on that.

In fact I can pass on everything except for cherries/fruit and eventually will find a way to hack a decent spaghetti.

I am even contemplating making a almond flour/arrowroot/psillium blend, and putting in 1/3 durum flour, and running it through my pasta machine so I can get geniune spaghetti noodles, to get some gluten in it, once a month. I'm not gluten sensitive, just carb sensitive.

Durum is not Keto, but its better than wheat and in a blend it would my hacked so so compromise and better tasting than zucchini noodles.

I like zucchini and already made wonderful zucchini and eggplant lasagna for 2 years in a row.

Just not for spaghetti.
