Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77298819 The original is better. Yeah - they made it because: "...from the concept album for the stage musical “Time” dropped on Thursday — complete with a music video of the late star singing the tune." The recording for the 1986 video had - per the article - an unheard of 96 tracks recorded and they pared it down for this new video. Nice backstory to it. |

Have known many millenials who like 80's music and/or Freddie Mercury himself. Quoting: IJumpInIt Personally as a 50-something, I remember these years fondly. Freddie always had raw talent and it shows loud and clear here. Enjoy!! "A previously unreleased track from Freddie Mercury, the 1986 ballad “Time Waits for No One” from the concept album for the stage musical “Time,” dropped on Thursday — complete with a music video of the late star singing the tune." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76626437 Yeah, well, to each their own I suppose. I enjoy his music and raw talent. Kind of surprised to see this now but hey - with the recent movie success and all I can see why it did. What? Anyway, all of glp complains about the stepping stones of homosexuality leading to pedo. And another huge group on glp complains of how the Bible does not allow any of this shit. But yet, almost all of you hypocrites will listen to, purchase, push, and idolize the same people you criticize. JUST SAYIN. |

Then, when I was on a Union contract negotiations trip I got dragged to a strip bar. This stripper came out to the song, and although she was fucking hot as hell I couldn't help but think 'WTF? Who strips to this?' She proceeded to give the most amazing performance I've ever seen (not that I frequent strip bars often). Not trashy - a real fucking sexy, talented performance. Like from that movie 'Striptease' with Demi Moore. Later when she went around offering private dances, I accepted. Went back into the little room, and I told her I just wanted to tell her what an amazing performance she gave and I didn't even want a private dance. I didn't hit on her at all. I just wanted her to know that I enjoyed her performance. We chatted for a few minutes, that's all. I gave her a break from the horny, pawing losers for a few minutes. When we left she ran halfway across the bar to give me a hug and tell me how much she enjoyed the 'private dance' - which made me look like a total Chad in front of the other Union guys, which was pretty awesome. That was my first contract negotiation trip but I got huge props from the other guys for that. God knows what they thought happened, but I wasn't shutting down any speculation. Totally changed how I think about that song. I can't hear it without thinking about her performance. |

So many bands I can think of like that - never mind the one hit wonders. I went to school and was in same grade/classes as Stoney Gossard - the guy who started Pearl Jam. The song 'Alive' is really all about his time growing up. Musicians may have many hits and misses, and some that strike a cord in a timeless way. Some love it, some hate it. |

Like you, I too will hear a song and don't care who wrote it... what they stand for... if the music is good I listen to it. End of story. Some are not that way though - to each their own. I thought this new vid was awesome - always liked simplistic performances. Back when MTV was decent 20 years ago (I remember it coming on the air too lol) their 'Unplugged' shows were awesome! In the linked article it says the original pianist did a re-recording for this vid. Studio equipment has come a long way since 1985 so can understand that. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77514991 United States 06/21/2019 08:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Lynyrd Skynyrd comes to mind . The public could not get a Strong Southern based Band with Christian values on the top charts . So.. They had to kill them or try . We get what they give us and Faggie Mercury was placed on top to pander the gay movement and provide theme music for the suffer jets with fag anthems . It's that simple . I worked in the restaurant biz in the 80's and Wow , the fags were everywhere spreadin the AIDS . A family restaurant went dance club after 10 pm and horry shit , the place went total Soddom with drugs and open kissing / petting . Hard to watch as a teen . And the owners were lubbin the $ ! Then .. They hired a bunch of Butch woman softball palers to run the kitchen . Uhg . I quit about then . |

Seems like a fake No he's not. Freddies face was weirdly swollen in the late 80's. He looked like that in all of his photos too. Probably a side effect of medications. I remember even noticing it at the time. Nothing odd here. No CIA deep fake conspiracy. Here's a cool clip from the Tribute concert. It popped up in my recommended videos. I remember watching this on MTV. Gary Cherone is no Freddie, but this is awesome. |

Strange disease, some went quickly, some lived a long time with it. Magic Johnson was diagnosed in 91 and now has no viral load, took the cocktail and newer drugs... Freddie was born too early. I prefer this. |

[link to www.youtube.com (secure)] I was in my teens in the 80's and all my friends were into the faggy hair bands . I saw the agenda straight away . The radio went to faggy European music overnight . No more hard 70's Rock bands . Now it was Pet Shop Boy's , Boy George , Madonna , The Smith's . It was Uber obvious what was happening . Then the faggy hair cuts and fashion followed . Completely faggy . They pushed the agenda down our throats . Radio stations flip flopped their play lists then like diaper changes . Remember ? 96 Rock went 96 COCK . |
