Some of President Trump's "you're fired" demeanor and
"The Apprentice" gimmick may have inflamed people of the left way beyond the more docile, milquetoast nature of the Bushes or low-key nature of Ronald Reagan. But a lot of the leftism at this time in US history is unique and would exist regardless of who's in the White House.

Look at the antics of US-hating Colin Kaepernick, the BLM and Antifa - and the passive, if not supportive, reaction towards them by groups like the NFL - even before the election in 2016.

I concur, completely. I think the loss of Hillary would have had the same affect on any Republican who stepped into office, however, that person wouldn't have had the same agenda as Trump seems to have and who knows how the attacks would have been?

Milquetoast is the perfect word and seldom anyone uses it. People still seem to give way too much respect and in observing a sense of decorum to those who are in government and because Trump IS that bombastic, "You're Fired!" guy we all knew for so long, it's exactly why the left and Hollywood feel so particularly comfortable going after him the way that they do.

A billionaire independent like Perot wouldn't have received this treatment, however, he was trying to warn everyone about Nafta and Gatt and would have corrected many problems long before Bush could have served up the White House to the Clintons right after.
