Because it's probably a lie invented by the supplement company.

don't believe everything you read.

MG Citrate works just fine, and the difference is very noticeable right away. Stress, anxiety, depression, all greatly reduced and manageable..

I'm using magnesium malate and it does help with a lot of stuff. I have less cheat pains and less anxiety and just feel better. It's actually the first supplement where I can tell that something is working better. And I tried a lot of diff stuff.

I was using a multi magnesium supp before and it was giving me headaches n the runs. This one is by AOR

Pretty sure the barrier is for a good reason? Probably not supposed to get in there but what's my opinion against millions of others?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75525718

Exactly.

The human body is pretty miraculous when viewed on a molecular scale. And the barrier is not a bug, but rather a feature.

But i'm sure glp tards in their parents basement know better, lol.

I've also received excellent benefits from taking a magnesium supplement. In my case, it's magnesium citrate, the best type I can find here in Panama.

Even just taking 200 mg a day helped me immensely. It stopped an issue I was having with an irregular heartbeat, and it took care of a problem I was having with lower leg and foot cramping at night.

A bit off topic, but now I've added nutritional yeast to my diet. It's naturally loaded with B Vitamins and helping a lot with stress-related health issues. The Vitamin B1 in it also keeps me from being a mosquito magnet. They've stopped biting me, and they used to eat me alive.

I use mg-citrate and the difference from the first does was very tangible and apparent.

Won't go without it now.
 Quoting: The_Meridian

Okay lovey, but I don't think that passes through the blood-brain barrier. Supplementing with this mag will carry the magnesium through to the brain.

Like the article said, using the two together would be the best route.

I have the mag oil spray I put on the bottom of feet, but I am going to get this supplement when I order again.

And now I'm sitting here wondering about our body's intelligence....because if something is so very important for optimal health, then why is it so hard for the body to absorb?

This just doesn't make sense to me....shrug

No, I'm not unaware. It's the lack of all DNA firing. With only two stands firing we are but ghosts of how we were created. I am actually acutely aware of this...but I've been taking a BP med that has really messed up my head, part of which is my memory. I forgot about our extinguished DNA.

I do know that as our physical body's are, we are not meant to succeed.

Re: Magnesium L-Threonate: Breakthrough Brain Supplement
Reading this thread I bought 4 different brain supplements from amazon totaled $150.
Shopping at Amazon is so convenient, safe and economical.
I sold my Jeep last year, I discontinued an over 20 years landline number, soon I want to trash my iPhone or maybe not, I just put it on airplane mode so I don’t be disturbed, I’m in queens NY.
The iPhone is extension of my self, is a part of me, I trie to use it as a tool.

Can you explain the DNA firing comment? I think you meant mitochondria becoming less efficient and not processing ATP respiration for the cell.

Re: Magnesium L-Threonate: Breakthrough Brain Supplement
wow 9 pages with almost nothing about Magnesium L-Threonate; a bunch of people talking about other forms of magnesium and random topics.

I am on day 2 of Magnesium l_Theonate. I also started taking an extended release Jgsaw 5-HTP Sustained Release Formula which I desperately needed. I think I imballanced serotonin from too much caffine and energy drinks. (Taurine will compete and reduce production of Seratonin).

I had been taking the 5-HTP for a few days prior so I think I can separate the effects.

I do feel a bit sharper and faster thinking; I've read it takes 21 days to get more of the full effect.

Which BP med was it? Was it a calcium channel blocker (CCB) or something else?

Calcium Channel blockers can cause depression and other effects.

Re: Magnesium L-Threonate: Breakthrough Brain Supplement
started taking this stuff a couple weeks ago after seeing this thread.

anxiety was out of con FUCKING trol. hard to even accurately describe. full panic meltdown.

about 2 days on this stuff and i feel so much more evened out. stabilized.

ive taken other magnesium variants, but nothing, even psychopharm has had this kind of effect.

started out taking quite a bit more than whats reccomended on the label. and now ive tapered down.

wow, thanks OP. this has been a major help

Re: Magnesium L-Threonate: Breakthrough Brain Supplement
Magnesium is so important for health that it’s been called the master mineral.

It’s particularly important for a healthy brain and nervous system.

It exhibits anti-stress, anti-anxiety, anti-depressive, and neuroprotective properties.

But there’s always been a quandary with the therapeutic use of magnesium supplements for cognitive and mental health issues — they do not readily cross into the brain.

Now there’s a new breakthrough form of magnesium, magnesium l-threonate, that solves this problem.

Wow! This form of magnesium supplement is designed to cross the blood-brain barrier!....woohoo

Has anyone tried this Magnesium L-Threonate?

Also, the article is very thorough and is a good read! I'm on their mailing list, so I just saw it this morning. IF you are concerned about your brain's health, then this is a great website to subscribe to for emails so you can get their new articles, or to go to and explore its content.

Great thread! I have a family member recently diagnosed with dementia and I'm going to see if this will help! I might try it myself, since I'm not 20 any more!
Take the red pill now...later it will come as a suppository.
