Now tell me that's not some kind of hidden payoff for some favor he did while in office.

I'd be surprised if they sold 1 million copies at $29.95.

Most people buy books used, wait until they're on clearance for $4.99, or borrow them from a library.

Or the publishing industry subsidizes one part of their operation with the huge mark-ups of books directed at students at colleges and universities. Or a captive book-buying audience forced upon people already paying greed-level tuition to cover the cost of Champagne-Socialist college professors and living-large school administrators.
