The NHC forecast track goes out 5 days-- almost all of the models they base that on like GFS, EURO, CMC go out 168 hours or beyond. That is ALL that mark represents is the expected land fall beyond 5 days. If its not accurate-- it because it should have been extended further Westward. Why do I know?? Because I had to cancel MY freaking vacation coming into New Orleans and driving along Florida Gulf Coast to Fort lauderdale-- based on the VERY same forecast. Sheesh! |
