The extinction of flea markets and thrift shops
Now that amazon and eBay is here on your computer do you still go to thrift shops and flea markets?

Me? I go to flea markets once a year or once every 2 years but not thrift shops. I can get 5 dollar shirts (5 dollar shirts.com) the same price as good will.

I dont like amazon though I think it's worthless for finding anything.

Has the thrift shop and flea markets gone extinct because of the internet?

Just watch. There is a new movement in the "fashion industry" to stop buying cheap disposable fashion and buy second hand instead. This will make thrift shops more expensive and price out the people that depend on them, they will only be able to afford the crappiest shit.

When I have too many goats, I take one or two to the local "Pulga" (flea market).

Usually sell within 20 minutes and never leave the parking lot.

BBQ cabrito (young goat) is very popular with immigrants.

Yes, but how much of it...gets returned by mail?

Most people get burnt, by not being able to touch and test it.

Many second hand in my area are more expensive than buying at Amazon , Walmart. ...especially for sports type clothing...

I would never buy second hand shoes

My neighbor got Ringworm on her foot from a used pair of shoes

It took one year to clear it up

The thrift shop is great. Go to ones run by the church and buy designer-label clothing, for next to nothing. Tony Bahamas Lands End.

Re: The extinction of flea markets and thrift shops
The whole point of the flea market is the selling of goods for cash. Cash sales that the government has no way to track to tax. I'm sure that some bureaucrat is figuring out a way to tax these sales. Flea markets are basically an underground economy. We all know government won't allow this!
In the future when all we have is digital cash, enterprising people will still have a flea market way of bypassing the government taxes.
Flea markets represent the best of free men and free enterprise!

Many malls in America and companies like jc penny are closing their stores firing thousands of employees. Why?

Yes the economy is bad but people are still buying. The question is where.

The computer sales are at least 80% then retail

No shortage around here, there's enough stuff already made to satisfy everyone. Stop buying throw away crap and get the stuff that was made for a lifetime or two.

Went to DDs, they had womens clothes, mens clothes, Nike, Addidas for 1/3rd or 1/2 off price of regular. The STORE WAS PACKED like it was black friday. I heard its like that every weekend

Ringworm is EASY TO TREAT WITH JOCK ITCH CREAM. I got ringworm from a kitten I brought home from a pet store. When I took the kitten to the vet, he prescribed the kitten cream. When I told the vet, I too got ringworm on my leg. He replied go get JOCK ITCH CREAM.

Oddly, where are the stories about getting ringworm from bowling alley rental shoes? Everyone has worn those shoes. Hmmmmm....
