A few times the subject of women in sports equality has been posed to me. I say this. If you want equality on sports, then you as a woman, need to pick a sport, or a sport code. You then need to pick a team. You then need to support the team by attending matches, watching the games to be exposed to the advertising dollar, you need purchase merchandising, you need to follow the season and discuss it with your friends, you need to form friendships around sport, and you need to pass your knowledge of the sport, and the players, on to your daughters.

Because that's how the money is made, and if you want equality, that's how it will happen. Otherwise, in effect, you are asking for men's sports to subsidise something that is of no interest to you.
