My best friends daughter just killed herself on heroin

It's a lot more complicated than that.

Sure, it's easy to blame the victim because it gives a smug sense of satisfaction of feeling superior to the "trash".

However there has been a concerted effort to flood communities with drugs, particularly white communities.

The government spent a lot of money to capture those opium poppy fields in Afghanistan, and they want a return on their investment. They are very clever at getting people to do what they want them to do. Look at how successful the media is getting people to think and feel the way they want them too.

A lot of people in our society are hurting because starting in the 70s wives and mothers were heavily encouraged to leave the home for full time jobs, paying strangers to raise their children.

Children need a family, they need a mother and father, and without this many problems develop such as depression and addiction.

It's a terrible situation and a lot of people are suffering out there because of it.

You should be blaming those who orchestrated all this, not those being destroyed.

It all boils down to a combination of ignorance, lack of proper education about drug use, and.... bad parenting.

Drugs can be greatly beneficial for the mind, body and soul - especially when used with the correct intent. However, using without understanding the drug, its effects, the quality/purity, and the safe dosage usually leads to the dangers of addiction.

The OP is an ignorant child here, to place the blame on government. First of all, fuck all government - however, they cannot be blamed for the decisions of an ingorant or uneducated individual.

If all drugs were legal and if real education existed in regards to their proper/safe usage (including the danger & risk of addiction), there would be a near elimination of accidental overdoses.

PS - don’t tell me I’m heartless. I’ve lost 2 good friends to heroin and I personally knew another 15 to 20 who died as a result of heroin. I myself have never tried heroin, yet have used raw opium on several occasions in the past.

Don’t be close-minded and blame a drug or a dealer or a manufacturer. It will always be around, no matter what. The only person to blame is the individual, their upbringing, and the complete lack of legitimate drug education. The DARE program for example is not real drug education.

Legalize it all. Inform all users. End of story. At the end of the day, nobody forces me to smoke cigarettes. It’s my choice. Should I blame the tobacco farmer? Nobody forces an alcoholic do drink themselves to death; so on and so forth.

With all of this being said, I am sorry for the loss of this young woman’s life. RIP and please push for EDUCATION and full legalization rather than a war on drugs.

So sorry to hear. My best friend's son is battling his heroin addiction - so far, he's doing well and off of it.

Absolutely horrid how this has consumed our nation - either directly, family, friends, communities, our resources, etc. Heart wrenching and infuriating.

BM, I knew a chick years ago that chose pain pills over a beautiful life she could have had. For the first two years I lived with her she was clean, happy, smokin hot, and I've never loved a woman more in my life.

We planned to get married. I wanted to spend every day with her. Just being near her made my laugh with joy.

Then one day a female friend from her past called her and from then on she was different, sleepy, bitchy, and had lost her 'glow'.. For the next year of my life I tried to get her off that shit, but that old 'friend' kept sneaking around when I wasn't around ..

It was just pills, just pain killers.. that's all.. one morning I woke up and she was not in the house, there was a note in the living room that said goodbye. She took my dog too, damnit..

Months went by and I didn't hear from her. Then one day I got a call, and agreed to meet her for a trip to the local carnival. When I saw her she was thin and shaky, and she hugged me a lot, like she needed my soul again, but I had to push her away. I could not let myself love her again.

She excused herself for the restroom, and I waited, in sad shock at the ghost that she had become.. she came back with a black stain on her lower lip.. I asked what it was and she looked in her pocket mirror and cleaned her lip, then looked at me and said she had to take a 'hit' in the bathroom .. a hit of heroin..

I gave her a hug, kissed her on the forehead, and said goodbye. That's the last I ever saw of her, the only girl I really loved. A demon had taken over her, a demon brought by 'a friend' one day when our lives were so amazing, and that's all it took to ruin my dreams.

I doubt she is alive, and I don't want to know. I left the state after that, years ago.

5 deaths people close to me from this drug. Many people Ive met as well, touched by its death. Some still struggling. So sad.
Mass murder by medical establishment and big pharma. My own cousin had quit, coming home from whatever treatment they put him on, ran head on into a bus and killed instantly.
