I couldn't finish that. TOO doomy.

I read the novelization of "Night of the Living Dead" and couldn't put it down. Finally got the sucker by shooting it in the head.

The Stand by Stephen King, the original. Hands down the best book I have ever read. I have read it a few times over the many years, and it is always fresh for me.

Vince Flynn - Vince Flynn and Vince Flynn
Thrillers - military/political genre.

"Like" 16 in the series. Read them all in about two weeks!!

Also Brad Thor - same genre.

In many ways 1984 is a prophetic novel and, in many ways also, it could be considered as a logical extension of History as it was in 1948, the year the book was published. Starting from the latter, the World of 1948 undoubtedly showed signs of an incredible similarity with the world described in the novel; the communist block was in perfect tune with the society of 1984; in the US, the years of McCarthyism were about to install paranoia and fear in the minds of citizens; in liberal Britain the Labour socialist governments, too, portrayed regrettable indications of a mood towards collectivism.

Just throwing this out there. I forced all of my children to read, "Jonathan Livingston Seagull", when they were teens. I know it is frowned upon by the naysayers, but the underlining message is very powerful for the youth as they struggle to find themselves in the game called 'LIFE'

Thanks to a poster here andromeda strain was a fantastic read. So was the haunted by Ed and Lorraine warren. Sphere by Michael Crichton was also very good.

Right now I’m reading the devils harvest also by Ed and Lorraine warren it isn’t as good as the haunted but it’s ok.
