You're assuming the 70yr mark was/is the same as a "generation". There are 3 distinctive units of measurement given for a generation in the Bible. 70, 80 & 100. You are correct in saying the 70yr mark has passed but the prophecy doesn't say "70 years", it says a "generation". Obviously, 70yrs was not the intended interpretation for generation in this case. If I had to guess, I'd say it's the 80.
