Here's another one from Montana's Agricultural Network: August, 2019 “We've had tremendous yields and we're very pleased with the quality and we're just trucking along," Conover said. “We've cut anywhere from 70 to 90 bushels to the acre, which is pretty much unheard of in this part of the world. But like I said, I think with all the moisture, the timely rains, the cool temperatures, this spring is why it's a little bit later. But we'll take it because we love it.” She said even 10, 15, 20 years ago, having a crop like this year's was kind of unheard in Montana, especially on dry land. Some won't believe it - until conditions look like many other places in the world right now - food shortages, bread lines, and onset of starvation conditions... |

[link to www.ktvh.com (secure)] You left out the last paragraph, nutjob. That's a 30% drop from the average. Expect it to be even lower, given the conditions in that region right now. Move along. The latest Montana Crop Progress Report states 50 percent of the winter wheat has been harvested in Montana compared to last year’s 64 percent. The five-year average is 80 percent. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 78122671 United States 10/29/2019 06:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73641902 That was the point. Whenever demand drops, so does production, just like in 2010/// Or we can state it another way - when supply drops and demand doesn't, the commodity markets get rigged to maintain the illusion of abundant supply and investor confidence to try to stabilize prices (which then is passed off as lower demand as to why low acreage planting is occurring). This, even as food inflation continues to rise incrementally in a controlled manner through the manipulation - until it can't be controlled. You have a lot to learn about how markets are manipulated and what population management is all about. Your entire argument also fails given the FACT that food shortages are occurring around the world right now (high demand) - and if the USA were this robust wheat exporter with good field conditions, they would be planting far more than they are. But they can't. Know why? Because they can't - the fields are in bad shape and the climate is changing. |

I raise cattle and wheat, got hailed out this year. Didn't plant any wheat, because I need hay stocks. Thinking about getting out of the business next fall. I am sick of living like a poor person, while working my ass off. No profit for people that produce food in the USA! deplorably republican |

"Dogged by lower prices and tepid demand, U.S. wheat farmers are poised to plant the fewest acres of winter varieties in 110 years." They are planting less! There's no "food supply collapse." Do you know what "tepid command" means? Less wheat More Corn? Soybeans ? |

I closely follow David Dubuyne of Adapt 2030 and Christian the Ice Age Farmer, who have spelled out this disaster in real time...The crop losses have been ongoing for 3 years now, not just isolated to certain regions, but widespread globally.... I don't have to tell you this, seems like you're already in the know Russia WAS thee go to exporter for wheat, they are NOT EXPORTING at this time Last Edited by M*walk on 10/29/2019 07:08 PM “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” |

User ID: 76010295 United States 10/29/2019 07:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We had near record ending year stocks of red wheat this spring. 500 million bushels of left over stock in 2018. Up from 130 million bushels 12 years ago. Year end stocks will remain steady at around 500 million bushels in 2019. We are good. Other crops are a different story... I do see some potential issues going forward. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day. |
