I just saw a real life Buddhist monk, in the flesh.
I couldn't believe it, neither could anyone else he walked past at the supermarket. We all just stared.

He was the stereotypical monk, bald head, chubby face, brown robe (completely covered not just 1 shoulder), caramel skin tone. He had a smile on his face too. I guess their robes are some kind of ranking like martial arts. Does anyone know what level Buddha his with this kind of robe?

I was like dafuq, there are no caves nearby. This was some serious guy that looked like he belonged in Tibet. What's he going to buy without money???

So I looked up some Buddhist temples close by and they all look like stupid white people belong to them all in a circle taking notes cause they are too retarded to know this shit naturally.

Anyways I have a friend in Virginia that has most of her food prepared for her by a Buddhist chef, she gets it all for from from the temple but she donates money. I wonder if all those people I see practicing to become Buddhist on the websites realize they are just vegetarian cooks in training.

Anyways, he looked cool af. I've seen Hare Krishnas in Poland but they just weren't the same as this cat. I was warned to stay away from them, nobody was giving any warnings out to stay away from the real Buddha.

I know right, I thought I've seen them all. I have Somali pirates living across the street, I see people from all over all the time but this was a shocker. My husband said it was probably a Halloween costume.

I met one once. Pure joy and innocence!! I wanted to hug him so bad! But it was a large crowd. He came to my dream that night and I did get to hug him! It was an amazing show called "Mystical Arts of Tibet".

Thank goodness he did not say he was the Buddha and you had met him in the road.

I don't think the people that belong to the temples are authentic monks like he was, I think he could have been some holy man craving kimchi or something just visiting a temple. I think they do that, go on world tours.

I don't think it was a Halloween thing either, this guy was the real deal.

He was wearing a robe like this and he held his hand up high over his heart. It was like a rusty brown color, it was a very ugly color.

No Buddhists do not do that.. buddha never actually brought God to them.. but their teachings should be in every Christian Church for they are awesome. and Christ never started Chriatinaity.. you folks are so used its incredible.

I actually have met the one who played Buddha... and he is currently spiritual leader/teacherr of this word its a spitural hierarchy position.

I don't think its "uniform" as to rank... varies according to culture .. groups etc.. You might enjoy going to google on that.

They use natural dyes/colors though from Plants etc. The fellow I met was not asian.. he was American... Older balding guy. He had been visiting somewhere in Asia... I think Malaysia because the plane I few on went from Korea down to Malaysia and back then to the USA.. He was returning back to the US.
