Secret Santa is bullshit. I have quite enough holiday obligations with my family, screw those assholes at work. I have family assholes to deal with. Quit moving across the country to get away from yours and you wont need your secret santas to coddle you. Yeah, I'm a fucking asshole.

I actually don't much care for Secret Santa events - it's weird having to get a gift for someone I barely know. But I still go along with it to not spoil other people's fun. Whining about the money is just petty.

My gift is usually an autographed picture of myself, signed "You're welcome."

My family does a white elephant variation where we give each other worthless shit that nobody wants. Most don’t even buy anything, just regift some junk lying around the house.

I guess it is the same for New Years parties. Who needs all this anxiety, we can ban them too.

Why don’t we just take ALL of the easily “triggered” millennials and put them on their very own island all by themselves.

All these years they push to the people -especially the young- fake anxiety situations and if something really bad happens, they will be unable to react. But i guess this is what they want.

I'm the boss. I tell my employee's buy a gift if you like but don't spend over $20 bucks. Problem solved.

This happened in my shop twenty years ago and some dude bought me an entire war wash set. Brush, a sprayer, bottles of wash, the works. I guess he thought I liked my car. I thanked him and never used the fucking thing.

These people are MENTAL CASES. Buy something at CVS for $10 or $20 bucks.

What's probably REALLY triggering them is the SANTA part because they HATE CHRISTMAS. They HATE any reference to Christianity.

Exactly. If you like your co-workers it might be a fun thing, but there should be a dollar cap on it. I think $20 is more than enough. If you don't like your co-workers, it's a bit of a pain, but just do it and try to have some fun. Or opt out. Not a big deal but everything seems to upset these millennials.
