Why Millennials Fail in the Workplace. They grew up watching “The Office” and think that is real life

The show IS pretty funny but shouldn't be viewed as an example of how to work a job.

They think the TV and movies are real. That’s why it’s so easy to get them to believe stupid shit.

Their feelings never hurt. Time out instead of a paddling.

Everyone got a gold star, everyone passes.

Safe spaces.

Put on pedestals.

Nothing to reach for, excel at.

They enter the workforce thinking it’ll be the same, expecting to be coddled, expecting a promotion for doing what is expected of them and within the job descriptions for which they are hired.

Can’t grasp their place in the Real world.

Thus the attack on older generations.

Blame others but can’t balance a checkbook or use a can opener.

Its a TV program. Its a freakin Show!

Who in their right might is gonna think that real life is like a TV show? Maybe im overestimated the mental capacity of a millennial or maybe its more than just a TV show as to why alot of young people are lost.

Slicon Valley is hardly an exaggeration though.

You people still watch TV?

Remember when people thought Pawn Stars was “real”?
The medium itself has been weaponized for quite some time.
People don’t realize the perceived “magic” that can be done with pragmatic editing and splicing scenes together to give the illusion its all one take and in real time when filmed... I can’t stand television. The TVs and phones communicate with each other so now, especially on DVR recorded shows, the “customized” ads are seriously beyond freaky. And lately there’s an uptick that I’ve noticed of “coincidences” when someone says something out loud and at the same time or nanoseconds later the TV actor says the exact same word or name... if that’s all merely coincidences then maybe I should play the lotto for a buck.

If they got a government job it wouldn’t be that different though. Lots of time spent just chatting with coworkers and not much work getting done. And you don’t get fired, ever.

Why are we always trying to blame everything that's not the generation that raised them?

It's not the TV's fault, it's not video games or cell phones.

It's the fucking parents who raised them. 100%.

Millennial here, and nobody I've ever met thought The Office was an accurate depiction of real life.

Oh, and there's no such word as "alot." Get a grip on the English language, especially if it's the only one you speak.

Humor is subjective, dipstick.

Their parents were also raised on video games and stupid shows.

And because they made it impossible for a single.income to run a home...their parents were always at work.

Mine were.

And even then we had trouble making ends meet.

So come home from the state mind control centers and parents are still at work.

So hook up the good ole playstation or PC and start gaming.

Not.much else to do.

Parents get home from work...tired as fuck...whip up a meal for.family.

Everyone sits staring at a box while eating.

Then off to bed to rinse repeat over and over.

Before you know it you have grown up and meet a girl and start the cycle again.

Only its worse now...because now you need 3 incomes...and life gets suckier.

Its not the parents fault.

Its the govts fault...making it IMPOSSIBLE for families to have any real.time together.

So the kidz are raised on games and tv...and now...social media.

Its the govt.

They set this system up TO DESTROY FAMILY.

Its that simple.

And to take the focus of themselves...they have an army.of "anti boomer bots" out there widening the generation gap.

Its the parents. ...thats their program.

Its never them.

So now millenials turn against everything...and blame the parents.

But they forget...their.parnts were victims of this fuckhole system as well.
