It's a little different than the movies. In the book he describes the humans he meets in the future as being very difficult to tell between males and females as the "stereotypes" have been demolished and there is no longer any family structure. HG Wells was writing the plans of TPTB out in a fictional book about the future based on what he knew was coming. |
