If the above statistics are true that means if every American were to be infected just once there would be over two million deaths. That's before we even look at how many millions are left with long term health problems. Such people left with long term health problems could find themselves more vulnerable to future covid infections. So let's say we're looking at three million Americans who would die each year if the virus was allowed spread freely and each American caught the infection once per year. That would be more than the total number of deaths for all causes COMBINED in any given year in the US.

Hello.Anyone wants to talk about relations of viruses and nicotine tobacco? My friend told me there was one tribe in America which wasn't that much affected by diseases brought by European (first conquistadors) because they smoked lot of tobacco .I smoke a lot and even in March when I was little sick I still smoked.I wasn't sick anytime later.Only smoker cough is annoying.There must something to that theory that smoking blocks Sars2 cov enzymes

Long ago, on a happier world where there were fewer meddling dickheads in politics,there was a study on the incidence of smoking and the spread of flu.They were forced to conclude more smoking, less flu. I know this is not just the flu, but I think (could be wrong) that it's the same family.
More recently (last 4/5 years) a reseacher,Swedish I think, put tobacco smoke across a dish of virus and it died. I don't know which virus, or whether the experiment has been repeated.
More likely cost him his funding.

Wouldn’t it be funny if tobacco mosaic virus, (itself a single strand RNA virus), blocks other viruses? I think it would be.

Very few places where humans go are completely dark 24/7, so the 28 day number doesn't really mean much.

The experiment was conducted at perfect conditions... in the real world survival on surfaces is going to be much less.
