P13315 ... Quoting: CleverCreator Congrats on not following. Last week, I found the piece where the President said he would approve stimulus until after the election. Translation.... if he shuts down the country before the election ...... he lost. And he knew it. Just like science, information ebbs and flows..... it’s why I pay attention to y’all trolling twisted sisters..... you only show up on bad news days. I love you, twisted sisters. So. you retract your statement, and adjust the date.......in mid-October. Nothing will make you happy. And that is not my problem. You definitely fail at tolerance of ambiguity. No corner office for you. The only constant in the universe is change. Embrace it. I see you've latched on to the new catch phrase introduced here by another poster. Very original, but most likely BS. I did not latch on..... I try not to get fancy here, but here have a brick of knowledge. The ones having a hard time with a long term disaster are the ones that need closure of a problem. And there ain’t closure anywhere in the near future. [link to www.sciencedirect.com (secure)] Less than 50% Tolerance of Ambiguity Vernon (1970) seemed to think that tolerance of ambiguity was the most important trait for creative work (cf. Golann 1962; Stoycheva 2003a, 2003bGolann, 1962Stoycheva, 2003aStoycheva, 2003b). Tolerance of ambiguity may allow the person to deal with the ill-defined nature of problems that have creative potential. It may also allow them to tolerate the range of options that should be considered. Some people may be more comfortable with closure (Basadur 1994; Runco & Basadur 1993Basadur, 1994Runco and Basadur, 1993). They are uncomfortable with the uncertainty that is a part of not having a solution ready at hand. This may lead them to satisficing, which is the tendency to take the first adequate solution that comes to mind (rather than postponing judgments and considering a wider range of options). Tegano (1990) offered evidence that the Tolerance of Ambiguity Scale was positively correlated with a creativity-style index. |
