And how can you buy goods with gold as it willbe worth so much that no one can make change or provide enough in crops for the financial transaction. They will be wary as they will not know your gold is real or the appeopriate price.

Silver coins pre-1965 willbe recognized easily,but orgqnized crime will likely start counterfeiting.

In history with silver coins, "shaving" was common. The edges were filed off and saved and that then used to buy things.

It would be far better to buy whole chickens (to use for meat, broth) or canned sardines, tuna, or mackeral than to load up on bags of sugar. Frozen fruits and vegetables will supply any needed carbs for low cost.

FWIW I spent a $507.00 on supplies today and included all of the above as well as coconut products (unsweetened flakes, milk, cream), nuts, nut butters, nut milks and frozen berries. I also included frozen bone broth and low-sugar protein powder.

You don't need to spend a fortune or load up on rice and beans to prepare well.

Yes it can be thinned.Distilled water would be best.Around 30-60% alcohol is what you want. The other poster is correct to high and it will evaporate before killing viruses or bacteria.
Purell makes a food safe spray that is 29%,and you do not wipe it off.You just wait for it to dry(per the instructions).
I'm assuming you mean 91% or 99% alcohol because those are common formulations, but either way 97% alcohol is terrible for killing bacteria and viruses. It's too concentrated so the alcohol dries out the surface before penetrating and killing the pathogen. You need to be using 50-80% alcohol to get fast 30 second kill rates for the coronavirus. If alcohol percentage is too high and it can take hours to kill or never kill it. Too low and there isn't enough alcohol present to kill it either.
