It is. But more importantly it is that non-Covid deaths are increasing.

In the next couple of weeks in the UK there is a scheme called "eat out to help out" being rolled out

Its to encourage people back into the struggling cafes/restaurants

Seems to me a perfect recipe for disaster , on two counts

1. Places will become crowded , with little or no thought for safety as greed takes precedence

2. As places become busy - who knows what goes on behind the scenes in the kitchens ???......

Its also weird (in my opinion) that conditions of the offer are that you must 'eat-in' , it doesn't extend to take-away.

Its like the government have got together and said "How can we get them to all herd together now the protests have died down"

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme is there to do two things:

1) Demonstrate to people that the government now encourage people to get our of their homes and visit businesses in person.

2) Attempt to save the hospitality industry that's about to fall off a cliff-face.

The Nightingale Hospitals are still being built and waiting ready. It's on this winter for sure and it's going to be messy. It's clear the government will not damage the economy any further.
