Whatever herbal products you elect to take, you have to answer two things.
1. Does the herb interfere with your current medication?
2. Is the herb safe for women who might be pregnant or breastfeeding?

Say someone read that grapefruit seed is antimicrobial. Well it can treat bacterial infections or parasites. There is limited details on antiviral effects.

Then it can dangerously deactivate medicines through cytochrome p450 or even enhance the potency of there drugs.

Just because an herb is antiviral does not mean it will deactivate replication in SARS CoV-2.

Physicians are practically powerless to fight viruses other than help with symptoms...like Herpes outbreaks or reduce the severity or length of symptoms.

It IS a weapon and the design is quite special.
It produces rapid death while hiding behind a usually harmless flu-type infection. This was a weapon that was designed to stealthily infiltrate a population as much as it can before finally unleashing its cargo.
To facilitate further spread, the host's bronchi rupture and the diaphragm stops, making the patient's breaths ragged, harsh and full of blood; meaning that they will spray blood everywhere infecting others if they assist.
It spreads via contact, air and blood and can get into food and water too.
We don't know exactly how it got out but this is what we've been told. However we do not think this was done intentionally.

It's true that antibiotics don't work against covid or any other virus, but that misses the point of why they're so important to have on hand right now.

The antibiotics are for the opportunistic bacterial infections that commonly follow a bout with viral pneumonia. For example, as noted in John Barry's book The Great Influenza, it was very common for the H1N1 patients to end up dying of bacterial pneumonia during the Spanish Flu pandemic. If I remember right, bacterial infection deaths accounted for an astoundingly large percentage of the total deaths (~25% were bacterial pneumonia iirc).

My wife is Brazilian. She planned a trip to her home city, Sao Paulo, back in August of last year. She leaves on Tuesday from Boston, and will be there for two and a half weeks, and her mother is coming back to stay with us for another two months.

I have told her everything I know about this situation. I have updated her on news from Brazil and New England. I have told her all about China, and Italy, and Iran, and all the numbers and statistics and everything else.

She is stubborn as a mule, and also stuck in normalcy bias. I see this all the time when I talk about hurricanes and economic things.

Granted, I may be a bit of a GLP tard, but... that's besides the point.

Anyway, I am stlll driving her to Logan on Tuesday, and I honestly think that in the interim (2-1/2 weeks) something will be put in place (lockdowns, quarantines, travel restrictions) so that I will never see her again.

But, with her attitude, along with most people around here, there's nothing I can do to convince her otherwise.
