JUST got home trying to catch up.media is still giving the same info and death #'s from yesterday. is it now up to 7 cities quarantened and 26 deaths? has anyone looked up the criteria by WHO on when they recommend closing a city to isolation? there must be policy guides somewhere for WHO or even the US.

your normal 3M medical mask could work in a pinch but there is no real evidence to back it

it is only useful like say if a person had the virus and then wore the mask it would help stop of it but then factor most people don't even wear the proper size mask so it could be useless

do what the military does full rubber suit with full 3M mask

A researcher who is now on the mend after contracting the virus said he got it through his eyes, as he was wearing a mask, but no eye protection.

It is powerful and aggressive and invisible. Masks aren't effective.

Then consider the face mask highly contaminated and if you touch the inside it will be contammed. Few people have funds or supplies to play "quarantine!" ghostbusters style and there are multiple mask options on the net, which N1 masks do not fit childrens face. But all types are easy to find, you can even make them.

If you are a true fandango warrior and do have a dozen level 4 suits to burn through, i would save them and use mask until more than 2 cases were in a place.

Its too bad I think the same about Aussie govt as i do ours now and am unable to believe a thing they say, except in the context of how it helps the govt and screws over any of the rest of them it can

My guess... this virus is going to be a disaster for China.

They're only a week or so into realizing this is a bad, contagious, virus and it looks like their doctors and hospitals are already breaking down... WOW!

What happens after several months of dealing with this? Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of cases... they are fucked! Too many people, too close, no government adequate care. This is going to get ugly fast for China!

I bet other parts of the civilized world do much better in containing and treating cases.

If they fly out, they should stay out. People will do anything foolishly. Even in the old days some did, but since nobody wanted to see that, it was never on the news.

Wtf is wrong with these people, I have heard of dogs and cats on the menu in marketplaces, but those images are unspeakable, the horror for these poor creatures. They are inhuman to want to eat such things.
