You are making a lot of assumptions which may be valid, but also may not be valid.

For instance, if this is a bioengineered virus, certain groups may be more susceptible than others. That is not conspiracy theory. In fact, it is likely, given there exist DNA sequences that could only appear via human intervention - like the sequences that seem to be lifted directly from HIV sequence.

And anyway, LONGbefore we actually have a problem from deaths, we will have a complete economic shutdown.

About the only thing available during the SPANISH FLU pandemic was aspirin. A person prescribed ASA at noon because of flu symptoms would feel better for a few hours and be DEAD by midnight.

The ONLY WAY the body can slow the viral replication rate is by a high fever. Reduce that fever by an over the counter flu med and the virus replication rate goes through the roof.
