Anonymous Coward User ID: 77645332 United States 02/08/2020 10:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I replied to this thread after watching the video. Didn't even know it got de-railed. Astro, I enjoyed the video. I am an amateur astronomer and I understand how hard it is to do what you did. You have to have knowledge in several different areas to create a tracking system like you did. For what it is worth, as an AC, I am totally impressed. |

Can't believe how fast your telescope must be, and magnified to boot. WOW I can see what your saying about the effort to get this done. Still amazing to see this fly over head. Hope you get the Bigger scope on it. Jed Eckert: C'mon! We're all going to die, die standing up! I know what I'm talking about and I will break out the fucking numbers if I have to. |

(OP) Senior Forum Moderator 02/09/2020 12:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Because the exposure is too fast since I set it to properly expose the bright daylit surface of the space station. Which is also the same reason you don't see stars in normal daylit video footage from the space station. normal cameras don't have the dynamic range required to properly capture very dim stars along with the very bright space station in the same exposure. |

Went by pretty quick and just looked like bright star. I’ve used a backyard telescope to look at the full moon before and I had to keep moving the damn thing to keep the moon in view! Putting those two minor, personal experiences together, I can’t even imagine how you got the ISS like that. Thanks a ton for sharing, Astromut! Energy flows where focus goes. (OP) Senior Forum Moderator 02/09/2020 12:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have tried looking for it in the uk but it never seems to fly this way for some reason,I enjoyed seeing it here, looks like it moves really quick,is there a way the Moon Europa can be filmed live,or is it too far? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75990179 Sure, you can see Europa anytime you can see Jupiter, unless it's hiding out behind Jupiter. The four Galilean moons are visible in any telescope. |
