And they cannot afford it! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77784968 Thanks Demonrats & Media! It is ridiculous what people and facilities charge. People charge 10 an hour (and they all look like college age kids) and the poor parent is working for less an hour than the babysitter! Babysitters usually watch more than one kid a day, let's say 4 or 5 a day. That's 40 or 50 bucks an hour they are making! It's not supposed to be that way. You babysit and charge LESS per hour because you make it up in numbers you watch! Truly. 20 an hour from watching 4 or 5 kids is a good babysitting wage. Or at least give a reasonable weekly rate. Gee. Not everyone is a doctor, lawyer or CEO making big bucks. Then you consider how trained and first-aid / for certified daycare workers watch 10+ kids a day for minimum wage or a dollar more than that and it really boggles the mind, while the daycare is charging 200+ a week per child. |

Quoting: Peepaws Blame the feminists. When they doubled the workforce, that meant the CEOs could take what they'd pay a working man, divide it in two, give on half to mom, the other to dad, get double productivity, and give the taxman double as well. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78612605 The Libs hate the family, and have actively been working to destroy it for decades. They have taught society to HATE your elders. They hate the morality of conservative-leaning older folks, too. Maybe the parents should rethink what propaganda has taught them. Nobody loves you like your grandma & grandpa!! Anonymous Coward User ID: 77542335 United States 03/14/2020 12:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My son came over and told me that all the town's schools are shutting down for three weeks. He told me he'd never seen so much complaining in his entire life. They're complaining about who's going to take care of their children while they're at work. Quoting: cosmicgypsy Why complain? What good is that going to do?.... What y'all need to do is get within your close communities, and set kid watching schedules. Make plans and organize yourselves! I suppose, at least it's being flung out there, that they're going to shut down the whole country, but until they do, this is when community is going to be necessary! Time to get to know your neighbors!.... Yeah, great idea Einstein. The whole purpose of closing down the schools is to keep people from being around a lot of other people, and yet you are saying that we should pass our children around to other families where they could get sick. Right. |

Now we are not just daily exposed to every bug going around with kids in the house coming and going, we are worn out, over worked and stressed out making us even more vulnerable and not to mention having to enforce / teach school work, using up our preps, funds, time and energy on unexpected child care. I have garden to plant, farm work to do and they are no help, far from it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78536332 Tell them to bring their tablets, phones, and gaming systems and let them go at it. |

Quoting: Loup Garou Seriously, I am my brother's keeper, if the parents have taught their children to be responsible and respectful people the neighbors can all take turns keeping each others kids. Or GrandMaw may need to come for a 3 week visit.. LOL Grandmaw comes for visit so the kids can infect her? There is a reason kids are calling the virus "People far more intelligent than millennials remover". That was supposed to be "People far more intelligent than millennials" and something self corrected. Interesting, the site will not allow the word People far more intelligent than millennials. Ok with me I am one. Lets try this. People far more intelligent than millennials. I give up. Last Edited by mlabors on 03/14/2020 01:03 AM |
