Seriously, I am my brother's keeper, if the parents have taught their children to be responsible and respectful people the neighbors can all take turns keeping each others kids. Or GrandMaw may need to come for a 3 week visit.. LOL Just because YOU don’t believe in the Rougarou; or the Loup Garou, don’t make you safe; No ! The Constitution is a blend of 'moral certitude' -- which is one of the reasons that criminals are determined to be rid of it and We the People must be even more determined to defend it. I marched him right back to the school to find the teachers on strike. They had been working for over a year without a contract....the School Board was ignoring them. I stood there and said, "Aww, hell no." I organized petitions, sit ins, picketing in front of the School Board office..... And ya know what?....within two weeks of the community rising up, our teachers had their contract. Baddas, eh?.... “Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.” ~ Margaret Mead WE CAN TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES! We got Big Brother tellin' us what we can and can't do, we got Big Mama tellin' us how to think and what we can say, and we got the gov't giving lazy people handouts, and they want for naught....I mean, what could possibly go wrong with all that in place? He told me he'd never seen so much complaining in his entire life. They're complaining about who's going to take care of their children while they're at work. Quoting: cosmicgypsy Why complain? What good is that going to do?.... What y'all need to do is get within your close communities, and set kid watching schedules. Make plans and organize yourselves! I suppose, at least it's being flung out there, that they're going to shut down the whole country, but until they do, this is when community is going to be necessary! Time to get to know your neighbors!.... Stay at home moms are valuable in times like this. |

Problem is, in a lot of places, there are no proper communities as such- long term neighbours don't know each other and if you attempt to make friends with them you're perceived as odd. If you don't have family to fall back on, you're in trouble. It's not how it should be though. I know it wasn't like this way back. Good luck, sincerely. |

Most closing districts are scrambling to set up meal sites around the districts so that the kids can still get their free and reduced lunches. Parents cannot be bothered to feed their own kids any longer. Most of them don't even know how to cook! God help them when McDonalds closes. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72727002 United States 03/13/2020 07:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I work at a school district in Southern California. Our district is shut down for a month. LA, Long Beach, Anaheim, San Diego, etc. all shut down as of today. What the parents do with their kids is their business. They need to take responsibility for their own kids imo anyway. I get so sick of parents depending on the schools to give them free food, free babysitting after school, free everything. |
