What the hell is wrong with some people wanting doom so badly that they call peer reviewed medical studies of a drug shown to cure a potentially catastrophic virus "snake oil".

If you hate yourself that much, seriously. Get help.

One problem with this drug is the toxicity to the retina. It can damage it and cause long-term and irreversible problems esp in older patients (the ones that Corona also targets the most).

I'm confused at how so many people are calling this fake or unreal.

It is a single peer reviewed study.

Is it promising? Yes.

Is it scientifically credible? Yes.

Is it worth trying on patients? Yes.

Is it confirmed? No. Confirmation as a cure requires corroborating studies and much more statistical evidence.

Quercetin is an OTC supplement which has some similarities to Chlorquine.

They both are Zinc Ionosphores which means they help carry zinc into the cells. This stops the virus from being able to replicate. Zinc is hard to absorb as a supplement but quercetin packs it into cells.

Not to be negative, but doesn't this all seem just too easy..? Like, all of this panic and doom - and now BOOM - miracle cure!

No it doesn't, that is a 100% wrong and irresponsible to post!

This is SIX patients. Erythromycin is an anti BACTERIAL this is a virus.

The other is an unproven experiment that has side effects AND could make malaria RESISTANT to the meds.

People have been reinfected at a rate of just under 20% so there is NO WAY of knowing that this is a "cure".

EVERYONE SHOULD STILL AVOID the elderly and practice social distancing until this is PROVEN to be effective.
