Mind you, I got my flu and pneumonia vaccine back in September. Quoting: elquisqueyano I woke up one morning with a severely sore throat, which then became a nasty dry cough, which then became an extremely bad case of sinus pressure and cold. That was it, lasted about 2 and a half weeks. My initial thought was, I had influenza, but I thought, I received my flu and pneumonia shot in September so why do I have the flu. I thought to myself, see, flu shots are not effective. Then covid-19 starts getting worse and I realized, from the symptoms being reported, that must have been what I had, Covid-19. Bull shit, covid-19 is lower respiratory, what you described is a cold plan and simple. |

Nope, it went to my lungs, I could feel it trying to give me a pneumonia, but it went away at my chest and hit me with a nasty head cold for the last days. I've had many colds and many different types of flu, this was different. My business partner caught the same thing in February. One of my friends described the same thing, but he got it back in November. |

Hopefully I'm now immune. Good luck to y'all. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75394950 I beat it with Listerine gargle and salt water gargle. I didn't get pneumonia due to getting my pneumonia shot in September, I think it protected my lungs. |

Six weeks ago or so I had what I thought was just a really really crappy cold. I don't recall having such a heavy feeling in my lungs when breathing with a cold before. My nose was running, which I don't know is common with COVID-19 or not, but my throat and cough were dry. Then finally one morning when I got out of bed I coughed up some bright green sputum with blood in it. After that, I started to feel more normal. It sucked. |

User ID: 78033988 United States 03/24/2020 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fort Worth, Texas. January. My husband and I (both healthy mid-40s me, early 50s he) developed what we thought was a cold, but, then it went crazy. He was sweating so badly in the bed, the mattress was soaked every night. Constantly. He had a high fever, developed a super-thick mucus that he couldn't cough up without vomiting. He fainted and hit his head when he stood up to go to bathroom. The mucus was enough that he would have trouble breathing. I never get sick (aside from when I had dengue) and this had me struggling to breath so badly that I was in a panic stage. We were diagnosed with a respiratory infection, but, treated for pneumonia. They gave us z-packs, cough medicine (crazy pill with terrible side effects possible), flonase, pink eye medication and something else (I forget what). We were asked if we had traveled from China recently, which we hadn't but have spent a ton of time in the airports, since we just moved back from abroad- and have been receiving guests from all over.... I seriously think this was COVID 19. It felt unlike anything I've ever had. There was a strange level of being conscious but asleep. I couldn't stop coughing at the local kroger when I went to pick up meds. To the point the workers were scrambling to call 911. They thought I was choking. One of the pharmacists got me the meds and water and we were able to pause it. Still have the cough. We have 3 kids that live with us, they had little symptoms, but, 2 of the three still have the cough, also. Last Edited by ladulce on 03/24/2020 10:31 PM |
