Its 1/4th of what is needed!

People will have to cut cell phone bills, cable tv, internet, and car insurance and car payments in order to break even!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77994583

If you have a cell and internet, WTF you need cable for?

You already did a nice big shopping in advance because you are hopefully smart (smart enough to be on glp anyway).

So cancel the car insurance.

Browse old glp threads for many cable options. Just don't bump old threads.

I suggest everyone in this situation skip their car payment, car insurance, cable tv, and cell phone bill, and rent then you will have a chance.

Life sucks and then you die. No one is responsible for your financial situation except you. You must be one of those entitled people that think life owes you something. It doesn't.

How much food did you save up?
Did you grab "one extra" something, each time you went to the store like a responsible adult?

How much money have you saved up?
Did you really need that coffee? Do you really need that car if you live in the city and there is mass transit? Did you really need a big cable package? Do you really need fast internet?

If you haven't saved anything, you haven't been taking care of yourself like an adult and what comes to you now is your punishment. Noone is going to save you.

In reality, the $250 BILLION allocated represents less than 5% of the $6 TRILLION bailout package.

> 95% goes to the Fed, Corporations, and Programs

< 5% goes to directly to Americans

There priorities are blatantly evil/obvious ...

Fill your gas tank.

Buy some oatmeal, Maypo and vitamins.

Shut off your cable and internet.

The bottom line is you have to prioritize.

Welllllllll, OP.......you have a choice to work or not to work. If you really really really need a telephone, cable TV, and other non essential expenses and expect the government to pay for it, then you are certainly in the wrong country. In America if you want something devise a way to get it. Think about the Pilgrims who walked off the Mayflower. They brought all they needed to survive. Your forefathers survived with an axe, shovel, and knife. Why cannot you???

Go apply for uemployment insurance! That's what it's there for. There will be a $600 one time extra payment when you apply also! And if I heard correctly, you won't get just part of what you normally make, you get 100% of what you made for four months!

So, quit your bitching, enjoy your free money and go apply for unemployment ins!
