This for tax payments TO THE government. Absolutely nothing to do with the Coronavirus stimulus. A d its says historical record because it is a record of the stimulus from 2007/2008, it's from the Economic Stimulus plan we had 12 years ago. This is irrelevant to the current plan! |

Is that the same as being set up for direct deposit already Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78331261 Awww. The broke mothefuckers are frothing for Trump's start of UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME Irony. They're all for "socialism" as long as they're the ones who are benefiting. Hypocrites. There is another way of looking at it. Income taxes are theft. I see it as getting some of the money they stole from my paycheck back. |

Quoting: LilithSamael The 2007 info is an example of how it will work again this time. If you paid your taxes direct from a bank account in2018 or 2019, or if you received your last refund direct deposit into a bank account for 2018 or 2019, that bank account is where the 2020 stimulus payment will be direct deposited. A d its says historical record because it is a record of the stimulus from 2007/2008, it's from the Economic Stimulus plan we had 12 years ago. This is irrelevant to the current plan! It is not irrelevant to the current plan at all. In fact the current plan stipulates you need to have filed your taxes in 2018 and if you used the direct pay option on the website Op linked you will be receiving the stimulus check before those who used the mail. Besides this fact, the 2nd link shows how the previous stimulus worked just for an example. So in effect it gives people an idea of how it works if using the direct pay system If you do not use the IRS direct pay system then you will receive a paper check. |

Nobody needs to sign up if they already have direct deposit with IRS on file Also nobody at all needs to 'sign up' to get the stimulus check If you filed your 2018 taxes as a US citizen and made less than 100000 then you automatically get the check This includes you. |

America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized. 2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims. 3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government. 4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer. 5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about. 6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries. |

I paid them a late payment 3 months ago and i used the website i linked.. which is the only one. However, i have seen new info saying if you do not already have an account that it may be too late! Just go ahead an register your bank with the IRS if you want the check using their site!! Good luck fellow Americans Thanks. I hope so. I paid last year from my checking account. Presumably they can use that information to get me the money. How do I check again? Don't I need some payment confirmation? |

Good luck fellow Americans We have paid with a bank account online in the past, but have always chosen to receive a check when we had a refund coming. This seems to indicate that if you need to enter a routing number for direct deposit, that there will be a 'tool' released in Mid-April to do so. Otherwise, you'll get a check. ...unless I'm mis-reading it. [link to www.irs.gov (secure)] |
