Sounds about right.

Saw a video a few months ago with a China billionaire discussing how 70% of Americans don't even have $500 to scrape up.

It's true for many. They are watching us and the western culture implode.

Damn straight - don't care what the world thinks about the politicians.

There's a core of American people that are the country's backbone.

They are the hardest working, most intuitive, courageous, determined & resourceful people in the world & when they have their backs against the wall there is just no quit.

Sure it's not everybody but, damn, American has more of them than pretty much every other country in the world.

Been proven more than once through multiple generations.

He's hoping for it so they can usher in the new

"communist age" of stupidity.

Must've got sent this weeks 'liberal talking points' because

this is like the third time I've heard that phrase

"lack of leadership". Bullsh*t. The only lack of

leadership is in all the dem states.

We kicked ass hiring this leader and will continue to

do so in spite of you working against us.

You liberals fall in line when your masters tell you

to bend over---don't you??!!

"It is still too early to assess this crisis geopolitically," says Professor Criekemans. "But I think a number of geopolitical processes that were already underway will be accelerated." By this he refers to the rise of Asia and especially China, and the lack of leadership of the United States.
 Quoting: VRIL COMMANDO

Criekemans later said, "I'm a stupid-ass liberal, so my logic, honesty, common sense, ethics, integrity and compassion aren't worth a flying fuck."

He then later cackled, "We came, we saw, he died" and shed a few tears for Hillary Clinton not being in the White House.

In the corona crisis, Criekemans also sees a crisis of the current neo-liberal model. According to the professor, the United States has long invested too little in health care, which it mainly wanted to organize privately.
"We will literally see the US collapse on our television screens in the coming weeks," he says. "This will have implications for how other countries view the US."

Corona-diplomacy
China is already anticipating this, for example by providing flashy medical aid and, for example, mouth masks to Italy, Great Britain and other European countries. "In this way, China uses soft power, they do corona diplomacy," says Criekemans. China is looking for trade corridors and is now seeing opportunities in Italy.

Russia is also engaged in corona diplomacy. For example, we saw Russian army trucks spraying the streets with disinfectant in Bergamo. That doesn't help much against the pandemic, but everyone has seen it. [link to www.hln.be (secure)]

I don't think it will happen quite that quick, but I think it is going to happen - the downfall of Babylon.

For as much as the Trumpers claim to be "Christians," they seem to have trouble viewing the mote in their own eyes. The "America First" motto is great, if you're living in 1779. But we live in a global economy now, and the cooperation of nations is what has built the wealth we all enjoy. Right now, we could really use a global response, but because we are so caught up in nationalism, and have pissed off so many other nations, no one wants to help us. And sure, we could move manufacturing back to America, in fact, it would probably be a good thing to do that.

But guess what? You think American corporations, the ones that have been so protected and worshipped by conservatives, do you really think they are going to want to pay the wages American workers would require? Why do you think all of those companies moved in the first place? It's easy enough to blame Obama or whoever else you want, but those companies started pulling out as soon as the union movement started flexing its muscle, trying to fight for the American worker. But just like the majority of Trumpers, a lot of people here vilify the unions and blame them. Christ some people are easy to deceive.

No, we have this coming, and while so many of you are claiming high ground, that you're "patriots" and Trump is going to save us, the exact opposite is true. And guess what? When all is said and done, he's just another member of the elite, and he will be sitting back sharing a nice glass of wine on a yacht with Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Hillary, and the whole crew. Think I'm wrong...?
 Quoting: Blue_Triquetra

So, what kind of lifestyle do you have? Living in your Mother's basement? Do you have a lifestyle to lose? Those of us that have worked our asses off for what we have don't want to give it all up to work as third world slaves so that the elite can make more money. We have to fight for humane working conditions. You don't work people 70 or 80 hours a week like machines then toss them aside with no health care when they are used up. Screw you.

China might take advantage of this if their product quality would be on par with European or US products. The mouthmasks: it is a joke. Half of it is destroyed as they do not meet MINIMUM standards for use in healthcare in this case. That in itself says enough.
China is trying. They will fail. And then the repercussion will come as it is mainly due to the communist regime mentality that this virus hit the world. A LOT of companies will start re-negotiating contracts with China, enforcing higher standards of quality, relocating supply lines (nobody wants to be dependent on a country that allows a biohazard like this to happen)…
I am not at all convinced China will win on this in the long term:
Europe:
- I hear a lot of companies saying: Diversify supply lines
(so not China alone) => loss of business for China
- I hear a lot of people (influencial ones) saying China's current government is accountable for the current disaster. A consequence might be that due to exterior and interior pressure, communism comes to a collapse in China, which basically solves the problem of China being an "enemy" economic power. They'll just play according to the rules as also their economy will collapse for a while. Their economy is dependent of resources coming from... African continent. Well, let Europe and US help Africa and kick China out (as they don't belong there anyway).

Bottom line: it can turn into all directions. Will US collapse economically? Nope, it won't. Will a lot of people in US collapse mentally? Yes for sure, as they haven't been living an a "real" world for 3 decades now as for 3 decades, all of the presidents told them God was blessing the US, and as the country is basically protected by Oceans on both sides, there was never (except for WWII) a threat. Will people rebounce: yup they will (look at Europe).
Europe: see all of the above

Russia and China: nobody knows the status of Russia at this moment.
CHina: Ehmmmm… Confirmed cases are rising again, their tests don't work always, so possibly they are heading up for a new outbreak within 3 or 4 months (just after summer)

End result: unpredictable. But spreading the news that US will collapse and China will fill the void is not really "objective" analysis. It's clickbait. There are much more angles to this story than is told in the article/book.

Oh, and by the way, as you saw, I am actually coming from Belgium. A LOT of people simply start checking if things are made in China, and cancel their orders if it is, or reorder products being produced within Europe, or, if not possible, from whatever country as long as it is not China. To give an example: my son was planning to order a Huawei smartphone. Last week he said: fuck off China, and he ordered another brand and he LITTERALLY checked the net to see which smartphones have the least parts stamped "made in China". He spent about 30% more money than he planned to, but he did not buy Huawei. The kid is 14. That is the generation that China has to count on to kickstart their economy

Re: Professor of international politics: "We will literally see the US collapse in the coming weeks"
I believe we are in the death throes of a dying and antiquated system and way of life.
Everyone is so scared, not only about catching this virus, but also scared of giving up their way of life.
When you really step back and look at it objectively, why is this a bad thing?
The global financial system is a house of cards just waiting to fall. We have propped it up for decades with lies and smoke and mirrors. through our own greed we were happy to look the other way.
But what has our greed really brought us? Its brought us overpopulation, the destruction of our environment, the destruction of our spirituality. Our greed has left us in a state of fear, anxiety and anger. And if you don't believe it just look at how people are panic buying and hoarding supplies, and toilet paper of all things. Gun and ammunition sales have gone up over 200%, and for what? Fear.
Men in the United States cling to our guns like scared little boys. Sure they talk a big game but when it comes right down to it, they are frightened and scared.
Some even talk and worry of Marshall law. And you need to ask yourself honestly, what would you do if they ever came to your door and asked you to turn over your guns? I'll tell you what you will do, you will hand them over. You won't like it. You won't agree with it, but you will hand them over. Sure there will be a few that fight it but 99.9% of Americans will hand over their guns.
And if that leads to an evolution of society I welcome it. We need to let the old system die, and embrace a new system. A system not based in fear and the acquisition of more and more possessions and unsustainable growth.
I think the human race is at the beginning of an evolution. An evolution into a new system where the acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in our lives. A system in which we work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity.
Without a doubt people will be forced into this new way of living, many kicking and screaming because they don't want to give up what they know. But in the end we will all be equal, and better for it.
