Anonymous Coward User ID: 76984449 United States 04/27/2020 11:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree totally with you. I am old and have underlying health conditions and I wouldn't make it if I caught the virus, so it does give me a sense of taking control over my own health and well-being wearing a little extra protection. Thank you for the advice. It's greatly appreciated. Many blessings to you! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73737844 I live in a rural NC county also and it's the same way here. I went to the gas station last night and nobody had a mask on and they they were herded all up together in one big gossip fest. They looked at me like I was the retarded one for wearing a mask and gloves. I even overheard one of them whisper, "omg is she wearing gloves?" I think it's just the small town mentality. They don't believe it can happen to them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73737844 You need to do what's right for you and your family. Don't follow the herd, they will lead you to the slaughter house. God bless you and stay safe Remember that all who get sick don’t die. Some don’t even know they have it. If you are sickly then I understand you wearing all that. But if you aren’t it is best to catch viruses on the first go round then wait until they change and get stronger. If it makes you feel safe though do it and don’t pay attention to those who don’t feel the same way you do. I live in the foothills. You very well could make it. Tell yourself that. There are 100 year olds that have got it and lived. I believe one was 104. I heard if you get sick take some diuretics to get rid of extra fluid. Have some allergy pills around as that does it also. Take vitamin c. Get out in the sun. Lose weight if you need to and don’t eat a lot of carbs/sugar. |

Lots of peeps in GLP are borderline psychopaths, who could care less about infecting other people. Too many vaccines stole their souls but left a stupid animal to walk around causing havoc. That doesn’t mean you can quit your job and hope you have one when the dust settles? The main thing is to keep from getting it and if you get it... to get rid of it... Amp up on high amounts of Vitamin C and D-3, and take a multivitamin with Magnesium. The virus will start creating mucus in the sinuses. Drink warm liquids throughout the day. This will help stop creating a habitat for the virus to multiply. No liquids after about 7 pm an you will have problems sleeping. Many people start feeling sluggish. When exhausted or feeling tired, you become vulnerable to disease. Take B3/6/12. They have awesome little energy shots at all of the dollar type stores. They cost a dollar/no sugar/ and just one cup of caffeine. This virus should be a wake up call to take care of our health. If it is just a terrible flu... attack it... and don’t share... Apple Cider Vinegar is nasty but works great for preventing disease. I picked up some ACV gummies On Amazon that taste good. Take Claritin at the first signs of any mucus or cold like symptoms. There are Darwin Awards for those who will not pay attention to the real threat that a flu can have on your body. Many die from flu every year. Perhaps, this is our big wake up call. Social Distancing and wearing a mask could help but should not be our primary defense. Create a strong immune system. That can only be a good thing. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76984449 I am unable to grasp why people conflate wearing PPE with "fear". Perhaps it is because they are so frightened they neither want to admit it nor display the evidence of the fear. I wear PPE and am NOT "afraid" of covid-19. I like to make sense, and to do what is sensible and proactive. Fear is not the reason we purchase auto insurance - we do so just in case, planning ahead. Fear is not the reason we wear rubber boots when going out in deep rainwater - it's to keep our feet dry. Come on, people - get the difference between fear and sensible precautions. This thing is real. Quoting: Pooka Yes, America does have a few disease-infested, corruptly run hell holes: New York City, Detroit, New Orleans. But sensible people have no intention of visiting hell holes. Indeed, the President would have done well to quarantine the hell holes a month or two ago, so that they couldn't spread their germs across the country at all. But even today, the current house arrest is utter lunacy for places like Aurora, Illinois, which has 200,000 people but only 7 COVID-19 deaths total (35 deaths per million). Probably sick elderly nursing home residents. [link to www.aurora-il.org (secure)] Many other countries of the world intelligently began prescribing hydroxychloroquine as soon as virus symptoms appear. Their COVID-19 death rates are under 20 per million. Take a look at Poland, Australia, New Zealand, etc. [link to www.worldometers.info (secure)] Here is the COVID-19 protocol published by the East Virginia Medical School. It offers a safe regimen of preventative supplements. You can bet that the practicing doctors and nurses on staff (and their families!) are following these recommendations. Preventative supplements include zinc and quercetin as well as vitamins C and D. [link to www.evms.edu (secure)] The protocol encourages hydroxychloroquine for anyone with COVID-19 symptoms, but uses the term optional so as not to suffer the condemnation of federal bureaucrats, who appear to be determined to kill as many people as possible.
