He pleaded guilty to lying to the fbi, after the agents who interviewed him said they believed he was being honest. More importantly he only plead guilty after the FBI ignored the Brady act and hid evidence that he did indeed tell them the truth, bankrupted him with legal fees and threatened to destroy his son.

At this point even a murder suspect would walk free just on the violations of law and procedures the FBI made.

Know what’s even more appalling when compared to the democrats last high profile FBI investigation which was hilliary Clinton and the email server scandal? Not only did she knowingly lie to the FBI destroy evidence, have her aids destroy devices after being subpoenaed by the FBI they just like with Flynn had a friendly “unofficial” chat with her and used that as a basis of why the couldn’t charge her for lying since it was not an official visit.

So apparently the laws now work like this.

If you are a democrat lying, destruction of evidence and perjury are all perfectly legal and the cops will do the defense attorneys jobs for the accused.

If you are a republican the laws do not matter they will jail you just for breathing.

The court/judge isn't prosecuting Flynn. The charges were brought by the DOJ and they dropped the case.

All the judge can do and is, is requesting "friends of the court"/amicus curiae to provide input and only assists in defining court law going forward.

Most people plead guilty to get a lesser sentence even if they are innocent. The US legal system is anything but Justice.

This can't be right, a Judge can not practice law from the bench, he can only rule on fairness of the caseses put before him, If the DOJ wishes not to go further he can discharge the case without prejudice or proceed to sentence. If he chooses to proceed to sentencing the it goes to appeal under another court. This is what they are afraid of because it may lead...in all likely hood to judicial misconduct. Remember he has been tried.
