Served 12 years in the Marine Corps, in combat in Afghanistan; now just wants to retire, but like many of us, is waking up to a fundamentally changed America. They look for 2 criteria before vetting someone to be a cop. 1 is they are not smart enough to question their authority and 2 they have to be a control freak. When was the last time you had a conversation with an intelligent passive cop? The Cops who do wise up to what's going on get made Detective. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 63927796 United States 05/23/2020 07:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It seems to me that the establishment does not want "public servants" who can think for themselves. Someone who is more intelligent is much more likely to question something that should be questioned, as opposed to someone who is less intelligent and will simply obey orders. This seems obvious to me, and that is where I would put my money. In this day and age there are so many things that have double-meanings. |

That's because at any moment you may be singled out and represent the entire United States. You have to be passive on camera. Off camera... that's where that stays. |
