yea, that's called Tyranny....prepping the cops to do what they are told no matter how far they violate the constitution.....

It has nothing to do with them "getting bored on the job" and everything to do with them being told what the laws are and how to enforce them as apposed to what the laws actually are. They look for 2 criteria before vetting someone to be a cop. 1 is they are not smart enough to question their authority and 2 they have to be a control freak. When was the last time you had a conversation with an intelligent passive cop? The Cops who do wise up to what's going on get made Detective.

A Police officers job is not to serve and protect you, if they figure out a crime, good, if they do not no big deal. The sole job of a Police office is to pseudo tax you through fines.

DAYTON — The city’s Civil Service Board and the U.S. Department of Justice have agreed on a lower passing score for the police recruit exam after it was rejected because not enough blacks passed the exam.

The city lowered both written exams a combined 15 points that resulted in 258 more people passing the exam, according to a statement released Thursday by Civil Service officials. The agreement allows the city to immediately resume its plans to hire police and firefighters.

The original passing scores determined by Civil Service required candidates to answer 57 of 86 (66 percent) questions correctly on one portion and 73 of 102 (72 percent) on the other.

I hate to think what kind of detectives they'll end up in a few years.

Just imagine how low the score must be for TSA agents. They are probably barely breaking the double digit mark.
That might explain searching diapers, groping kids and strip searching 80 year old women.

The ultimate proof that it is not actually a cop's job to serve and protect. If that was the case, then they'd want the smartest cops they could get hold of.

It seems to me that the establishment does not want "public servants" who can think for themselves. Someone who is more intelligent is much more likely to question something that should be questioned, as opposed to someone who is less intelligent and will simply obey orders. This seems obvious to me, and that is where I would put my money. In this day and age there are so many things that have double-meanings.

One of the things you learn in the service is politics. That's because at any moment you may be singled out and represent the entire United States. You have to be passive on camera. Off camera... that's where that stays.
