Anonymous Coward User ID: 3191689 United States 05/24/2020 01:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, I was one pissed off dude at my broken family situation in highschool. I thought highschool was a complete waste of time and a zoo cage for thug wannabe gangsters. I got laid a handful of times, but it's never what I wanted. I guess I was probably in good shape back then because I ran track and played football and soccer. But, I thought everything was retarded. I really just wanted to get away from it all and get back right with Jesus. So I dropped out my junior year, got my GED in two weeks and then started junior college the next year. I've never regretted it for one second. I would never go back to that useless socialist hellhole or wish it on anyone. |

I dated seniors as a freshman but I didn’t date immature high schoolers after my freshman year. Quoting: Emerald_Empress Did you hang out with a bunch of Tyrones too? Non black men are so insecure! |

Of course they were. 90% of the people on here still are. And that’s a fact, Jack! Quoting: Tootles 73639648 ~~~~~~ 90 % seems high. I was not a nerd whatsoever, but I thought the clicks & groups, backstabbing & cruelty I witnessed was ridiculous... Upper income high school. I was never promiscuous. I met my husband at 16... He made “Sexiest Man Alive” look average. We married after I graduated college... Together 35 years. Life changed dramatically after we lost one of our children. It was also the day Jesus spoke to me audibly & restored me supernaturally. The Holy Spirit revealed truth to me through a decade of suffering, grief & darkness. I found GLP after I started searching relentlessly for truth. Jesus gave me eyes to see through lies! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 52923498 United States 05/24/2020 01:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We didn’t really have some elite clique at our school. Alot of different groups doing their own thing and not really shitting on anyone elses. Probably more petty arguments and problems within the groups themselves than group to group conflicts. So then when I was college age, I started meeting shitty peers who really had a caste system in place and upheld it because they thought they were golden. Some of the most childish tantrums and episodes ive ever seen came from those folks not being able to implement their fantasy onto others. . |

User ID: 78507281 United States 05/24/2020 02:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just so you know a little more about me. I didn't let that stop me. I graduated high school even though I had missed 3 months of school and had a full paid scholarship to college thanks to good grades and a high ACT score. Graduated, got an IT job and have been good ever since. Being smart has advantages. I wasn't going to sit and live off the government when I could take care of myself. Be strong. Don't let others knock you down. Get up and keep going. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74982081 I was. For some reason, the girls were always trying to get to know me better. I was too shy, though, and practically drove them away. Idiot. No I was one of the 3 or so deadheads, ended up dropping out to do dead tour 94 and 95. After that started 3 companies one a multinational. We are doing fine but our freedom is threatened at this time. Would have never found glp without the wise words of a few older cats on tour |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75758940 United States 05/24/2020 03:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey, mine was the 70’s. It was right out of the movie Dazed and Confused! Just wonderful. Most everyone in our class grew up together . Got a long. 1/2 not so poor. 1/2 not so rich. Grew many acres of da ganja. Made hash and honey oil. Grew pounds of “golden teacher” and other magical fungi. Played sports. Good to be big fish in small pond. Great music entails learning music. Start a rock and roll band. Too fun! School was science, wood shop, chemistry , sports, cars, girls, tunes, older 30-40 yr old neglected housewives. Homemade wine. Beyond great concerts. 1970 1/2 z/28 rally sport. Loud stereo, Van Halen, KISS Army, AcDc, Aerosmith, list goes on and on. Fishing, hunting, guns, football, wrestling, track, jamming, driving incredibly fast, drag races, stereos, girls who liked this...priceless! Hated school. Super fast learner. Big problem with me. Now phd’s work with and for me. Btw, phd’s cost around $150.00 per hour. That’s only relevant when the years of “formal” education is ask. Always ask the questioner why that question is relevant. Then I personally like the look when you tell them you can’t remember if you graduated hs, but I employ 5-6 PhD research scientists... Or did. |

I guess technically "yes" but I wasn't fully a nerd. I was smart so I was with a lot of the nerdy kids, but I hardly ever studied in high school nor college. I was still quite dense with girls, probably still am. People tell me I can't tell when they're into me, and I always go for the ones who aren't into me. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77525973 I was A+, and Net+ certified, and had my CCNA before I was 16...back when that shit was hard in the late 90’s. Taught to troubleshoot down to the individual chip level for repair, before computers became throw away tech. Knew more than anyone in the school about networking so was pulled 1/2day for both my junior and senior years for administration of the schools network for the county. Quiet kid who everyone was DEATHLY afraid of. Had plenty of female attention when I cared to. It was great, and fucking terrible for very different reasons. ? DEATHLY afraid of computer nerd???? |

User ID: 78153434 United States 05/24/2020 04:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Honestly, no. But, I hung around the 'nerds' because they knew about weed and smoked it too. Obviously, I was what they called, a 'loadie'. I smoked, was great at sports and was going to become a professional drummer. Had the long hair and used my lunch money to buy CIRCUS Magazine to read about rock stars. It was definitely different as people would say 'soh-sh' because we wouldn't participate in socializing and headed straight off campus to smoke. It was fun. Then we'd hang out in front of the school watching people and making fun of them or noticing the girls...and after lunch I had art class then P.E.. THOSE classes I got A's in. Only ones tho'. Ha! I didn't get 'good grades' but I did become a professional drummer. I went back and got the GED a few years later tho'. They said, we have a refresher course to help you pass for 6 weeks. I said, ah, no. I just want to take the test. They said, no one passes unless they refresh. I said, I just want to get this over with. To this day, I have no idea how I passed. Fun times... Living has taught me one thing; nothing is certain...except salvation through Jesus Christ! |
