People don't remember (maybe they're too young) that before Obama, the MSM and the Press were legally required to be truthful and non-biased (unless they admitted it up front that they were Commenting or Comedy). Oh, granted, it wasn't always perfect, but the idea was that if you saw it in the newspaper, heard it on the radio, or saw it on TV you were supposed to be able to accept it as the Truth. That was the Smith-Mundt Act.

Then came Obama. Mr. Anti-Truth himself.

Realizing that Truth had little or no place within his Administration, Obama issued yet another of his innumerable Executive Orders and suspended the Smith-Mundt Act. He couldn't repeal it; that would take a vote of Congress. But he could "suspend" it, like he "suspended" prosecution of all Black-On-White crimes. According to Obama, the MSM now had no responsibility whatsoever to present the Truth, and in fact could DELIBERATELY foist out-and-out lies and propaganda upon the Public. Of course THIS wasn't given much publicity, and America continued their Life assuming that they were still getting some Truth from the MSM.

President Trump needs to make an Executive Order cancelling out Obama's Executive Order. Reinstate Smith-Mundt!
