The cop that killed George Floyd has been arrested. Charged with 3rd degree murder and manslaughter.

The shop owner who called the cops on Floyd said he reviewed his shops surveillance video and saw no signs of Floyd resisting arrest.

Why does it take 75 cops to defend a murderer at his home. The cops have declared war on the citizens. It's open season on Minneapolis police.

Should be first degree, especially if he knew this guy (which seems likely) and had some kind of grievance.

Yes, I wrote premeditated and then changed it to 1-2, but not until after you had quoted me. I guess when I wrote that I was thinking that since they knew each other Chauvin might have been purposely holding Floyd's head/neck awkwardly and with pressure, ignoring the pleas, because he wanted the guy to die. But then I thought, nobody would do that on tape. If he had wanted to kill the guy he would have done it another time and place - off camera. I think he was just getting off on a power trip and probably didn't like the guy and wanted to hurt and humiliate him a bit (which seems to fit with his past record as a cop). We don't know what is in the autopsy, so I'm thinking it was something to do with high substance amounts (Floyd was complaining about his stomach hurting), which could very well have been a contributing factor to the death and thusly the decision for a lesser charge. I think the manslaughter is probably more appropriate. But I still cannot help this beautiful, beautiful black manling feeling that something is just not right with that story, and my beautiful, beautiful black manling feelings are normally correct. MN doesn't have a death penalty and while there is a federal one, it is used rarely and in response to some pretty egregious crimes. I don't think any death penalty is in the cards for this guy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him knifed and killed in jail though.

I wonder why George Floyd wouldn’t have driven away after passing a bad bill or check to the merchant instead of staying parked in front of the store.

Was Chauvin tasked to take out George who with his crew was dealing outside before clients got inside?

Was Chauvin tasked by higher ups to take him out?

Was George travelling with his runners or dealers when he was pulled over?

I was listening to the scanner and heard the report about a woman being raped by 2 men in a car then never heard another word.

Is it possible that his brazen murder in broad daylight was more about gang warfare.. eg. turf and money than about race?

This is nothing more than them trying to stop the looting by appeasing the rioters. By the time this POS cop walks out with a "Not Guilty" judgement in 6 months it will be done quietly and the anger will have quelled a bit. Hell, he is probably getting paid to go to jail....

He was on Floyd for almost 9 minutes and at the end for almost 3 minutes while Floyd lay motionless and speechless.

This comes from the charging document released about an hour ago.

What about the other 3 accomplices? Fired too, but no charges?

That time feels in line with what’s evident on video.

Remember the cops in Baltimore???? Pretty sure all were found not guilty, my guess,the same will hold true in Minneapolis
