I LOVE the Mexican dude - he totally gets it. This is not about race, it's about heritage and FIGHTING AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT. To me, THAT is what the Confederate flag stands for and I hope people keep it alive. I understand that black people may not be comfortable with it, but there are a lot of aspects of THEIR culture I am not comfortable with. Rap music or hip hop for example.

Everything can't be about white people constantly giving up all parts of our lives to make black people "comfortable" because that is never gonna happen. They're always gonna find something to bitch about because it's a CONTROL thing.

NASCAR turned to shit more than twenty years ago. They were paying the race baiters to leave them alone. At the same time they decided they needed Toyota in the program, and broke most of their own rules to make that happen. Even with the purpose built race engine developed by GM engineers, Toyota was still not competitive, so they kept changing rules until they got their Toyota championship. The racing used to great when the cars were different, and the drivers were real American heroes. Now they just play follow the leader at Talladega, where the greatest races of all time were held, 50 years ago.

That's very interesting. So the Northern states kept their slaves because it was the family thing to do while simultaneously doing the opposite for the slaves in the south.

It was more common in the north for slaves to integrate with their "owners" more as equals than in the south.

In reality only 2% of the entire population owned slaves. The black slave owners were known to be the most vicious and cruel.
