It's actually been talked about for awhile. I've been watching this and have seen a couple articles proposing getting rid of the anthem going back a few years. They may finally end up doing it.

And no one will bat an eye.

I used to wonder why they don't just move, too. There are hundreds of countries on the socialist spectrum that would be more to their liking, including two directly north and south of us, that would suffice for most American leftists' tastes. Why stay here and fight it out with all us racist capitalists? If they want to go full commie, there's even a place only a few hours' boat ride from Miami that would do well. I know I, for one, would gladly move anywhere in the world if I could get significantly more freedom than I have here, but alas, such a place does not exist.

The reason they don't do it, though, is the beacon of free enterprise and freedom of thought Shining City on a Hill cannot be allowed to exist while the rest of the world is socialist. Sure, they'll leave a few islands relatively free because the elites need tax shelters and places to hide their teenage sex slaves, but that's all that can be allowed, so they fight the fight here to bring us in to the same game as everybody else, and they have mostly succeeded.

There was talk, a few years ago, about changing it to "America the Beautiful," but that song mentions God so that would never do. I think, more recently, I've heard them wanting to change the national anthem to that socialist screed, "This Land is Your Land."

They want to destroy THIS country.

I hope the NFL does it. Might as well.
