Kind of the height of hubris to have carved your faces into the mountain.. I could understand if it was your god or messiah, but your own faces? Hmmm!

I'm a conservative, but I'll admit that Mt. Rushmore was a massive waste of money. Why spend tens of millions carving shit into a damn mountain? It also desecrates the natural landscape, and the carvings aren't that great IMHO. Complete waste of money though.

With that said, Mt. Rushmore is a national landmark, for better or worse. Also, getting rid of the Mt. Rushmore faces would probably end up destroying much of the mountain it sits on, so it would just make it worse.

Native Americans have the support of 7 billion non-whites and millions and millions of whites, who condemn the crimes of their white ancestors.
